Study On The Innovation Of Embroidery Craft In Late Qing Dynasty And The Republic Of China

During the period of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,due to the invasion of western powers,China fell into a semi-feudal and semi-colonial society.With the dramatic and profound changes in the political,economic,ideological and cultural fields,the pioneers in the field of traditional handicrafts were quietly leading the changes in industry and art.With the collision and blend of Chinese and Western culture,embroidery as one of the means to cultivate the traditional female’s gentle and good character,also quickly stepped on the road of industrialization.The production mode and inheritance mode of embroidery,the role and status of craftsmen,and the materials,crafts,patterns and concepts of embroidery have all undergone significant changes.This article through to the late Qing Dynasty and the republic of China brought about(1900-1937),the most representative embroidery technology innovation achievements-simulation embroidery and disorderly needle embroider of theme,color,stitch,lines,and light with shade interweave embroidered principle is analyzed,and the embroidery picture of several factors,such as texture,space,volume and traditional needlework comparison research,summarizes the aesthetic orientation of the embroidery craft innovation during this period and value orientation,and the embroidery craft produced the profound influence of the change.
