Visible-light photocatalysis has become an efficient and green tool for the organic synthesis and has been focus for many researchers in chemistry ranging.Meanwhile,it also provides opportunities for inventing medicines that more efficient with minimum impact on the environment. The modification of drug molecules and the synthesis of important skeletons through photocatalytic strategies are still a direction worth exploring. The tertiary amine substructure is prevalent in natural products and pharmaceutically agents. The development of a mild and green method for functionalization of tertiary amine skeletons would thus be highly meaningful for both organic and medicinal chemistry. The deficiencies of classic tertiary amine functionalization method that severe reaction conditions and poor functional group tolerance are due to the chemical stability of tertiary amines. Two new effective tertiary amine functionalization method to realize the synthesis of amide compounds and β-amino-α,α-difluorocarbonyl compounds has been developed by visible-light photocatalysis strategy. This paper will start from the following three parts.Chapter 1: In this chapter,we review the development process of visible-light photocatalysis and summarize the research progress of the functionalization of tertiary amines with visible light photocatalysis from the classification of key intermediates.Chapter 2: In this chapter we discuss the photocatalytic oxidative amidation of tertiary amines with naphthalimide derivatives as photocatalyst. The synthesis strategy of amide developed by us is characterized highly efficient and green,easy-to-operate,functional group compatibility.Chapter 3: In this chapter,we have developed a effcient method for the synthesis of β-amino-α,α-difluorocarbonyl compounds by the oxidation Mannich reaction of tertiary amine through visible-light Photoredox catalysis.
