Slaughter wastewater contains lots of organic compounds, suspended matter, protein, ammonia nitrogen matter, etc. The components are complex and difficultly treated.According to the characteristics of slaughter wastewater, this paper analyzed the research status of the treatment of slaughter wastewater at home and abroad, and enhanced the treatment of slaughter wastewater by Coagulation-Fenton-Anaerobic/Aerobic Process. This paper from studied the slaughter wastewater that was brought from one slaughterhouse in Fuzhou. The indexs of demo are:p H 6.3-6.9,Turbidity 500-600 NTU,CODCr1301-2560 mg.L-1,TN 130.8-294 mg.L-1,NO3--N 20.8-50.6 mg.L-1,TP 12.5-20.6mg.L-1.Through the single factor experiment, the removal rate of coagulation pretreatment on slaughter wastewater was studied, and the optimum technological conditions of coagulation system were determined anaerobic-aerobic process was used to further treat organic nitrogen in the wastewater, and the mechanism of nitrogen removal and N2O release was investigated. In the Coagulation pretreatment experiment, the optimal coagulation conditions were p H 7,Aluminium chlorohydrate(PAC)150 mg.L-1and non-ionic Polyacrylamide(NPAM)6 mg.L-1.The removal rates of turbidity,TP,COD,NO3--N and TN were99.04%,98.91%,33.78%,22.03%and 20.38%respectively.The results of Fenton-oxidation experiments showed that the removal rates of COD,NH4+-N,NO3--N and TN were 93.67%,40.09%,62.65%and 64.72%respectively when p H 3,H2O2dosage was 25m L.L-1,Fe(Ⅱ)dosage was 5g.L-1and Reaction time was 30minutes(Best Coagulation Conditions). The results of Anaerobic-aerobic enhanced nitrogen removal experiment showed that Fe(Ⅲ)could improve the removal rate of COD,TN and TP in the anaerobic-aerobic process within the range is between 32 and 53 mg.L-1.The removal rates of organicnitrogen,NH4+-N,NO3--N,and TN were 81.9%,93.9%,69.1%and 89.5%respectively.The release of N2O was inhibited by high concentration of organic nitrogen.
