A Study On The Influence Of Construction Workers’ Psychological Environment On Safety Cognition

As the national pillar industry of our country,the construction industry,but the frequent safety accidents caused by casualties and heavy social property losses are widely concerned by the public.As one of the most important factors of production in the construction industry,construction workers are the cornerstone of construction safety production.According to the investigation of safety accidents in construction industry,the safety cognition deviation of construction workers is often the main cause of safety accidents.Therefore,improving the safety cognition of construction workers and reducing the rate of safety accidents have become the focus of scholars’ research.Based on the analysis of related literature at home and abroad,this paper introduces accident cause theory,cognitive theory,field dynamics theory and social exchange theory,this paper introduces safety climate as an intermediary variable into psychological environment and safety cognition,and puts forward the theoretical model of the influence of construction workers’ psychological environment on safety cognition,and puts forward the research hypothesis through relevant analysis;Then,with the help of literature reading method,combined with the actual production situation of construction enterprises in China,the safety climate is divided into four dimensions: management commitment,project manager commitment,safety education and training,and safety communication within the team,and a questionnaire on the psychological environment,safety climate and safety cognition of construction workers in the construction site is compiled;Lastly,after completing the compilation and quality inspection of the three questionnaires,242 valid questionnaires were collected from the construction site workers in Sichuan and Chongqing,and the correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis of variables were carried out with the help of SPSS25.0 software.The mediating effect of security atmosphere was analyzed by Bootstrapping method to verify the hypothesis and model.(1)Psychological environment and its three dimensions(labor environment,organizational environment,conceptual environment)have positive effects on safety cognition,among which organizational environment has the most significant influence on safety cognition;(2)The mediating role of the safety climate is verified by using the method of hierarchical regression analysis.The results show that the psychological environment partly influences the security cognition through the safety climate,that is,the safety climate plays a partial intermediary role in the process of the psychological environment affecting the security cognition.Based on the above research results,the managers of construction enterprises can from the psychological point of view of construction workers.According to the psychological environment and its three dimensions on safety cognition and the work site safety climate and the impact of each dimension to formulate a series of safety cognition of construction workers countermeasures and suggestions.This paper further clarifies the mechanism of safety behavior and provides a theoretical basis for site construction managers to improve the safety operation level of workers.
