Traditional H2 separation technologies,such as pressure swing adsorption and membrane separation,yield high H2 concentration but low H2 recovery.As one of the new gas separation technologies,H2 hydrate separation technology has the characteristics of mild operating conditions,high H2 recovery but limited enrichment.The purpose of this project is to explore the H2 recovery effect after the hydrate and membrane separation technologies are coupled,to realize the mutual promotion of hydrate and membrane separation process by making use of the differences in the two separation processes and characteristics,and to improve the mixed gas separation efficiency and H2 recovery effect.In this paper,the experiments of H2 recovery in series mode of hydrate method and membrane method are first investigated.The hydrate separation experiment and membrane separation experiment were carried out by using different hydrogenation tail gas as raw material gas,and the effects of different experimental conditions on the two separation results were investigated,and the appropriate operating conditions were determined.The experimental results show that the series recovery of H2 by hydrate method and membrane method can effectively improve the H2 concentration and recovery rate of product gas.However,the series mode operation increases the operation energy consumption.Therefore,this paper has carried out an experimental study on the synchronous coupling recovery of H2 by hydrate-membrane method.Troger’s base was used as the membrane material to prepare H2 separation membrane.Subsequently,the hydrate-membrane coupling recovery H2 experiment was carried out under the appropriate operating conditions.Tetrabutylammonium bromide(TBAB)was used as the promoter in the hydration separation process,so as to reduce the separation pressure and facilitate the synchronous completion of the membrane separation process.The effects of temperature,pressure and operating mode on H2 concentration and H2 recovery of product gas were investigated.The experimental results show that the coupling of the two separation technologies can produce the effect of mutual promotion,and the H2 concentration and H2 recovery of product gas can be improved.Combining with Chen-Guo hydrate model and flash model,the hydrate phase equilibrium of H2+CH4+C2H6+C3H8+TBAB system is calculated.The calculated value and the experimental error are small,which indicates that chen-guo model can be used to calculate the gas hydrate generation of TBAB system.
