As an industrial equipment,rotary kiln is widely used in building materials,metallurgy and chemical industry.Taking the building materials industry as an example,in the production process of cement,the calcination of cement clinker is the most important step in the production process of cement,and the core equipment used in the calcination of cement clinker is rotary kiln.The operation of rotary kiln is directly related to the quality and quantity of cement.In the process of cement clinker calcination,if the temperature of rotary kiln is too high and the thermal oscillation is too large,it will lead to the fall off of refractory in the inner layer of kiln wall,which will cause the occurrence of red kiln accident,and even the kiln shell fracture,which will cause great economic losses to the enterprise.Therefore,in the production process of rotary kiln,it is the key to ensure the efficient production of rotary kiln and improve the economic benefits of enterprises to scan the surface temperature of kiln shell comprehensively and understand the changes of kiln wall in time.At present,the surface temperature of rotary kiln is mainly monitored by infrared scanning temperature measurement technology at home and abroad,and then the state of rotary kiln is estimated.This way of monitoring only the surface temperature of the rotary kiln makes the condition monitoring of the rotary kiln not comprehensive enough and can not accurately avoid the accident of the red kiln.In order to solve this problem,this thesis proposes a longitudinal wall thickness monitoring method based on the transverse monitoring of cylinder surface temperature by infrared scanning temperature measurement system: firstly,the heat transfer model of rotary kiln wall is established by mathematical modeling method,and the wall thickness of rotary kiln is monitored by infrared scanning temperature measurement system through the special heat transfer model of rotary kiln wall.Secondly,two-dimensional profile wall thickness model and three-dimensional dynamic simulation model of rotary kiln are established to carry the wall thickness monitoring results.Finally,the wall thickness monitoring model is realized in the upper computer monitoring software of infrared scanning temperature measurement system.The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively monitor the wall thickness of rotary kiln and achieve the purpose of longitudinal monitoring of rotary kiln.And the infrared scanning temperature measurement system is improved,which makes the monitoring of rotary kiln more comprehensive and avoids the red kiln accident to a greater extent,so as to avoid the huge economic losses caused by the red kiln accident.
