Levulinic acid(LA)and furfural(FF)are two important biomass-based carbonyl platform compounds.Using organic alcohols as hydrogen sources, catalytic transfer hydrogenation(CTH)of LA and FF via Meerwein-Ponndorf-Verlry(MPV)reaction is one of the important ways to catalyze the conversion of these carbonyl compounds. The corresponding carbonyl selective hydrogenation products are gamma-valerolactone(GVL)and furfuryl alcohol(FA),respectively.GVL and FA have broad application prospects in the production of fine chemicals and fuel additives.Melamine hafnium phosphate(M-Hf-P)catalysts were synthesized.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),pyridine infrared spectroscopy(Py-FTIR)and ICP were used to characterize. The effects of catalytic reaction conditions on the conversion of two biomass-based carbonyl compounds and the yield of CTH hydrogenation products were investigated, and the reaction conditions were optimized.Specific experimental contents and results are as follows:(1)The results of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy show that there are interactions between hafnium and phosphoric acid, phosphoric acid and melamine in M-Hf-P samples. The results of pyridine infrared spectroscopy showed that hafnium melamine phosphate has both Lewis acid and Br(?)nsted acid active catalytic sites.By adjusting the molar ratio of hafnium to phosphorus, the content of Lewis acid and Br(?)nsted acid in melamine hafnium phosphate catalyst can be adjusted.(2)Under the catalysis of 50 mg M-Hf-P-1-1-1,1 mmol LA was completely transformed in 5 mL isopropanol at 160℃ for 2 hours. The yield of GVL and isopropyl-4-hydroxy valerate were 89.3%and 6.5%respectively.(3)The catalyst leaching experiment and catalyst reuse experiment proved that the reaction of M-Hf-P-1-1-1 catalytic conversion of LA to GVL belongs to heterogeneous catalysis.M-Hf-P-1-1-1 has stable performance and high reusability.(4)Under the catalysis of 100 mg M-Hf-P-1-1.5-1,1 mmol FF was completely transformed in 5 mL isopropanol at 120℃ for 4 hours. The yield of FA reached 93.3%.
