China is the first country in the world to build and operate a high-speed rail network in alpine regions.Because of the unique low-temperature ice and snow climate in winter and the secondary disasters caused by the weather,the construction,operation and maintenance of high-speed rail facilities and equipment have been greatly affected in alpine regions,and the equipment failures of EMUs are constantly induced,which seriously affects the operation efficiency and driving safety of high-speed rail lines.In view of the fact that EMU failure is the main cause of high-speed rail traffic risk,improving and eliminating the source quality problem of EMU is the necessary means and way to improve EMU traffic safety.Taking Harbin Bureau as an opportunity to carry out the special rectification project for the source quality problems of assigned EMUs,after sorting out,summarizing and analyzing the data of typical faults of the source quality of EMUs in alpine regions,the author identified that under extreme climatic conditions in alpine regions,there would be four kinds of situations,such as ice and snow accumulation,foreign body attack,extremely cold environment and alternating cold and hot,which would induce driving safety risks.In this paper,a risk assessment model of EMU driving safety is proposed by combining quantitative and qualitative methods,which classifies the driving safety risks caused by ice and snow,foreign body attack,extremely cold environment and alternating cold and hot.Finally,4 first-class risks,6 second-class risks,17 third-class risks,3 fourth-class risks and 2fifth-class risks are obtained,and the countermeasures for the first,second and third-class risks are put forward.The traffic safety risk assessment model and improvement measures proposed in this paper,to a certain extent,improve the level of traffic safety risk identification,improve the scientific and precision of safety risk management and control,and play a certain reference role for employees in related units and fields.
