Valuing Ecosystem Services Of Saltmarsh Of Suaeda Salsa In The Liaohe Estuary

The Liaohe estuary’s saltmarsh of Suaeda salsa,located in the intersection of land and sea,has formed a unique ecosystem under the influence of natural and human factors.The study of its ecosystem service value not only enables people to understand the ecosystem service function of saltmarsh of Suaeda salsa from the perspective of value quantification,providing reference value for regional economic development,wetland development and protection planning,but also provides theoretical basis and data support for subsequent research on ecological compensation of saltmarsh of Suaeda salsa and other aspects.In order to quantify the value of various ecosystem services of saltmarsh of Suaeda salsa in the Liaohe Estuary,this paper obtained the area of Liaohe estuary saltmarsh of Suaeda salsa in2020 through remote sensing image interpretation,investigated the willingness to pay for recreational and non-use values of wetlands by questionnaire,and adopted the alternative cost method,carbon tax method,afforestation cost method,result reference method,cost expenditure method and condition value method.The climate regulation,carbon sequestration and oxygen release,pollution degradation,wave reduction and shore protection,biodiversity,scientific research and education,recreation and non-use values of the ecosystem services of the Liaohe estuary Saltmarsh of Suaeda salsa in 2020 were estimated,and the results showed that:(1)The area of Liaohe estuary saltmarsh of Suaeda salsa in 2020 is 10.91km~2,and the spatial distribution:the west bank of the estuary is mainly concentrated in the vicinity of Sandao ditch,and the east bank of Liaohe estuary grows in patches with reeds around the national corridor landscape of Red Beach.(2)The total value of Liaohe estuary saltmarsh of Suaeda salsa ecosystem in 2020 is506.74million yuan,including climate regulation value of 315.07 million yuan,carbon sequestration and oxygen release value of 16.61 million yuan,pollution degradation value of30.99 million yuan,wave elimination and shore protection value of 68.80 million yuan,biodiversity value of 2.35 million yuan,scientific research and education value of 3.45 million yuan,recreation value of 27.78 million yuan;the non-use value is 41.69 million yuan.Climate regulation,wave-relieving bank protection and pollution degradation are the main ecosystem service functions of the Suaeda salsa in Liaohe estuary,and the non-use value is second only to the wave-reduction bank protection value.(3)A questionnaire survey was conducted to understand the respondents’willingness to pay for touring the Liaohe estuary saltmarsh of Suaeda salsa and protecting the wetlands.The results showed that the total per capita cost of wetland touring was RMB 70.14 and the per capita willingness to pay for protecting the wetlands was RMB 30.The respondents’willingness to pay was significantly related to gender,age,education,monthly income and recognition of wetlands.
