The ecological environment is an important cornerstone for human survival and development, improving people’s livelihood and well-being is the fundamental purpose of development, how to promote the coordinated development of ecology and well-being is the key to achieving regional sustainable development.Carry out the evaluation of ecological vulnerability and residents’ well-being in rocky desertification areas, and explore the spatial coupling relationship between the two, this will speed up the construction of the ecological environment in rocky desertification areas, promote the improvement of regional well-being,and realize the ecological environment construction and residents’ well-being in rocky desertification areas, the coordinated development has important theoretical and practical significance. On the basis of combing domestic and foreign researches on ecological vulnerability and residents’ well-being,and based on the special geographical environment of rocky desertification areas, the ecological vulnerability and residents’ well-being of the Huajiang Demonstration Area were measured, and the differences between the two were explored. The spatial distribution difference was further explored, and the spatial coupling relationship between the two was further explored.First, using RS and GIS technology, using the SRP conceptual model, and selecting indicators such as elevation, slope, rocky desertification degree, etc.,to construct an evaluation index system suitable for the demonstration area, and analyze the spatial distribution of ecological vulnerability; The indicators such as net income and the distance from the road have constructed an evaluation index system for the well-being of residents in rocky desertification areas, and explored their spatial distribution characteristics.Based on the spatial coupling analysis framework of ecological environment vulnerability and residents’ well-being,the coupling coordination degree model is used to further explore the spatial coupling relationship between the two.The main conclusions reached are:1)Taking the 10 m grid as the evaluation unit, the ecological vulnerability evaluation results of the demonstration area in 2018 showed that moderate and above vulnerability accounted for 67.17% of the total area of the demonstration area, and the moderate vulnerability accounted for the largest proportion of the area, which was 28.24%.Wider,covering the entire demonstration area;followed by severe vulnerability distribution, accounting for 26.68% of the area. The results of using the villager group as the evaluation unit show that the proportion of the villager group with severe vulnerability in the demonstration area is the largest, accounting for 32.61%,which is mainly distributed in the villager group area near the north and south sides of the Beipanjiang River.2)Taking the villager group as the evaluation unit, the well-being level of the residents in the demonstration area is divided into low, slight low, medium, slight high and high, and the highest proportion of the villager group is the high level, which is 34.78%.On the whole, the well-being level of residents in the south of Beipanjiang River is higher than that in the area north of Beipanjiang River.Differences in material conditions, health, safety, social relations, and freedom of choice and action form differences in the spatial distribution of the well-being of residents in the demonstration area.3)According to the calculation results of the coupling coordination degree, the coordination type in the demonstration area, the coordination synchronization type, the coordination welfare lag type, and the coordination environment lag type account for 10.87%,26.09%,and21.74% of the villager groups respectively. The proportions of the villagers group with the disordered well-being lag type and the disordered environment lag type were 6.52%,19.56% and 15.22%,respectively.The proportion of villager groups with coordination and synchronization in the demonstration area is only 10.87%,indicating that the degree of coupling and coordination in the demonstration area is low.The lagging type of coordination and welfare and the lagging type of coordination environment account for a large proportion of the villager group, and the distribution of the two is relatively concentrated. The proportion of the villager group of the disordered and co-loss type is 6.52%,there is no centralized distribution area, and the disordered environment is lagging and disordered, the distribution of well-being lag is relatively scattered, and there is no obvious concentrated distribution area.
