Objective: the purpose of this study was to compare the anesthetic effect of general anesthesia combined with epidural and transverse abdominis plane block in patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer. Methods:Forty patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal cancer resection under selective general anesthesia were randomly divided into two groups:general anesthesia combined with epidural anesthesia(EA)(n = 20)and general anesthesia combined with transabdominis plane(TAP)(n = 20).The induction of general anesthesia and anesthesia were consistent in the two groups. The bispectral index(BIS)was monitored and maintained at 40-55.Systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)were recorded at 1 min(T1),T2,T3,and 10 min(T4)before and 30 min(T5)after the operation,DBP,mean arterial pressure(map),heart rate(HR),blood glucose(BG)and other stress indexes before, during and after operation were recorded. The dosage of propofol and remifentanil during operation, recovery time, extubation time, visual analog scale when leaving the anesthesia recovery room(PACU)were recorded,VAS)score, postoperative adverse reactions. Results: the SBP,DBP,map and HR of EA group were lower than those of tap group(P < 0.05)at T2,T3 and T4,and the consumption of propofol and remifentanil per unit time of EA group was lower than that of tap group(P <0.01).There was no significant difference in BG between the two groups at each time point(P > 0.05).The recovery time and extubation time of two groups after PACU There was no significant difference(P > 0.05).The VAS score of EA group was lower than that of tap group(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in postoperative adverse reactions(P > 0.05).Conclusion: general anesthesia combined with epidural block can reduce the amount of anesthetics used in radical resection of colorectal cancer.
