Objective to investigate the effect of standard dose of PPI on patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)combined with sleep disorder. Methods A total of 82 patients with GERD combined with sleep disorder who visited the department of gastroenterology, the department of gastroenterology ward and the institute of gastroenterology of the Fujian Provincial Hospital from March 2019 to November 2019 were included, and the patients were given the standard dose proton pump inhibitor(PPI)for 4 weeks. In the form of questionnaire survey to explore the relationship between gastroesophageal reflux disease(Gerd Q),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale(PSQI)and Reflux Symptom Index(RSI)before and after the treatment.IBM SPSS26.0 statistical software was used for data statistical analysis. The measurement data with normal distribution were represented by (?)±s,the measurement data were compared by t test, the counting data were represented by cases and percentages, and the comparison was compared by chi square test.Pearson correlation analysis was used for the correlation analysis of normal variables, and the level of homogeneity test of variance was taken as α=0.05.P <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results A total of 82 GERD patients with sleep disorders were included in this study, with an average age of 56.62±9.37 years. All patients received standard dose of PPI treatment for 4 weeks, and there was no statistical difference between SAS score(49.74±7.25 points)before treatment and SAS score(49.66±6.52 points)after treatment(P>0.05).There was no statistical difference between the SDS score before treatment(49.67±5.73 points)and the SDS score after treatment(49.46±5.11 points)(P>0.05),and the Gerd Q score before treatment(11.98±2.47 points)was significantly higher than that after treatment(8.96±2.31 points)(P<0.05).RSI score before treatment(11.66±2.59 points)was significantly higher than that after treatment(8.13±2.51 points)(P<0.05).The PSQI score before treatment(12.80±2.86 points)was significantly higher than that after treatment(10.62±2.83 points)(P<0.05).Before and after treatment, the seven components of PSQI: subjective sleep quality, time needed to fall asleep, sleep duration, sleep efficiency, sleep dysfunction, hypnotic drug use,and score of daytime dysfunction were statistically different(P<0.05).There was a moderately positive correlation between the changes of RSI and Gerd Q scores before and after treatment and the improvement degree of sleep disorders(change of PSQI score)(P<0.05).Conclusion Standard dose PPI significantly improved sleep disorders in patients with GERD associated with sleep disorders, and was associated with improvements in acid reflux and laryngeal reflux.
