Objective:Based on the survey results of the iodine content of drinking water in Yunnan Province, this project focuses on understanding the iodine nutritional status and thyroid disease prevalence of people in areas with high iodine levels in the external environment under the current general iodization of salt.so as to provide reference for the scientific iodine supplementation,classification-guided prevention and treatment strategies for iodine deficiency disorders, and treatment of thyroid diseases.in Yunnan Province.Methods:1.Investigate the basic conditions of Xiaobona Village and Jiuzhan Village and the iodine content of the main drinking water in the village;2.50 adults aged 18-60(half male and half female),50 children aged 8-10(half male and half female),20 Pregnant women and 20 lactating women were random Ly selected from the investigated villages. The urine, salt and blood samples of the investigated subjects were collected. The contents of urine iodine, salt iodine, serum iodine, thyroid gland function and B-ultrasound of the investigated subjects were determined.According to the determination results, the survey subjects were evaluated for iodine nutrition, and the abnormalities of thyroid diseases and their distribution were discussed.Meanwhile, the relationship between TSHR gene intron 1 polymorphism and thyroid diseases was explored.Results:1.The median iodine of tap water in Jiuzhan Village is 112.22μg/L,the range of water iodine content is 97.78-114.14μg/L,the median of tap water in Xiaobona Village is 140.20μg/L,and the range of water iodine content is 112.53-144.66μg/L,the iodine content of other water sources is less than 10μg/L.2.The coverage rate of iodized salt, the qualified rate of iodized salt, and the edible rate of qualified iodized salt in Jiuzhan Village and Xiaobona Village are all above 90%.3.The median urinary iodine of pregnant women, lactating women, ordinary adults, and primary school students in Jiuzhan Village were 118.78μg/L,132.59μg/L,225.89μg/L,and 310.95μg/L,respectively;The median urinary iodine of pregnant women, lactating women, ordinary adults, and primary school students in Xiaobona Village were 98.19 μg/L,141.49 μg/L,220.49 μg/L,and 294.67 μg/L,respectively.4.The median serum iodine of pregnant women, lactating women, and ordinary adults in Jiuzhan Village were 107.66μg/L,53.60μg/L,and 58.38μg/L;the median serum iodine of pregnant women, lactating women, and ordinary adults in Xiaobona Village were 90.90μg/L,48.97μg/L,47.02μg/L.5.The prevalence rates of hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, hypothyroidism, and hypothyroidism in Jiuzhan and Xiaobona villages were 1.4%,1.4%,1.4%,and 18.18%,respectively.The positive rates of TPOAb and TGAb were 13.99%,12.59%.respectively.6.The total goiter rate of the population in Jiuzhan Village and Xiaobona Village was 4.68%,and the children’s goiter rate in both Jiuzhan Village and Xiaobona Village was 8%.7.The detection rate of nodules in Jiuzhan and Xiaobona villages was 6.73%,and the detection rates of nodules in men and women were 1.99% and 10.47%,res Pectively.8.rs179247 may be related to hypothyroidism susceptibility,P=0.058;rs2300525 is related to nodule susceptibility,rs12101261 and rs17111394 may be related to nodule susce Ptibility,P values are 0.051,0.054,respectively.Conclusions:1.Xiaobo Na village and Jiuzhan village in Xiangyun County are preliminarily identified as water source high iodine disease areas, which need to be further confirmed.2.In the same area, iodine excess and iodine deficiency will coexist among different populations,so the demand for individual iodine nutrition evaluation is increasingly urgent.3.The prevalence of hypothyroidism was higher than that of other thyroid diseases, and the prevalence of thyroid nodules in women was higher than that in men.4.The relationship between thyroid nodule and heredity needs further study.
