Application Of Thin Tube Drainage After Single-port Thoracoscopic Pulmonary Bullae Resection

Object: To explore the feasibility and value of clinical application of small-diameter drainage tubes in thoracoscopic pulmonary reduction surgery by comparing and analyzing the data indexes of small-diameter drainage tubes and conventional wide-diameter tubes.Methods: Cases of 115 patients(selected from Jan.2016 to Dec.2020)with spontaneous pneumothorax those were treated in our hospital(all underwent Video-assisted thoracic surgery,or VATS)were selected,and divided into two groups.Group I consists of Small-diameter tube treatment cases(65 cases),while Group II consists of Wide-diameter tube treatment cases(50 cases).The items of comparison,which are Length of Postoperative Hospital Stay,Degree of Pain Before Extubation,Degree of Pain After Extubation,Duration of Tube Insertion,Occurrence of Complications and Hospitalization Expenses,of the two Groups were compared and analyzed.Results: The surgeries of two groups were found successful ones,no death case occurred during the perioperative period.The general data of differences in regard of age,gender and surgical sites suggested no statistical significance(P > 0.05).Total hospitalization expense(28468.10±4527.84VS25308.77±3505.18)by Yuan,Degree of Pain Before Extubation were shown p<0.001,which suggested a noticeable statistical siginifacace.Meanwhile,Degree of Pain After Extubation(2.88±0.82VS2.34±0.83)showed an obvious difference(p<0.01),and Hospitalization days(3.86±1.01VS3.37±1.04),Hours of Tube Insertion(53.42±32.35VS42.97±24.04)shoewed p<0.05 and p<0.05,proving a statistical siginificance.And there was no significant difference in regard of Complications Occurrence between the two Groups(p > 0.05).Conclusion: 1.Single port thoracoscopic pulmonary bullectomy with thin tube drainage is a safe and feasible drainage method,which can fully drain the pleural gas and effusion.2.Compared with the traditional thick tube drainage method,the thin tube drainage method can reduce the postoperative pain,is conducive to the early rehabilitation of patients,reduce the length of hospital stay,and improve the quality of life of patients,which is in line with the concept of rapid rehabilitation surgery.
