Study On The Relationship Between Mobile Phone Dependence,Coping Style And Time Management Disposition In Undergraduate Nursing Students

Objective:This study was to understand the current situation of mobile phone dependence,coping style and time management disposition of undergraduate nursing students,to clarify the differences in general demographic characteristics of mobile phone dependence,coping style and time management disposition of undergraduate nursing students,and to analyze the correlation between mobile phone dependence,coping style and time management disposition of undergraduate nursing students,so as to provide reference materials for effective time management intervention of undergraduate nursing students.Methods:This study was a descriptive study in non-experimental studies.The convenient sampling method was used to select a university in Jilin Province,and 276 nursing students in the first to third grade were investigated by questionnaire.The survey was conducted using a general data questionnaire,a adolescence time management disposition scale,a mobile phone addiction index scale,and a simplified coping style questionnaire.The data was inputted,sorted and analyzed by SPSS 26.0 and the general data characteristics of undergraduate nursing students were described by frequency,mean and composition.Mean and standard deviation were used to describe the current situation of time management disposition,mobile phone dependence and coping style in undergraduate nursing students.Independent samples t-test or one-way ANOVA was used to study the differences of general data in time management disposition,mobile phone dependence and coping style,α=0.05.Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation among mobile phone dependence,coping style and time management disposition in undergraduate nursing students.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to screen out the main influencing factors of time management disposition in undergraduate nursing students.Results:(1)Among the nursing students surveyed in this study,there were 39 male students(14.1%)and237 female students(85.9%);Among them,there were 205 students of Han nationality(74.3%)and71 students of other nationalities(25.7%);There were 195 only child(70.7%)and 81 non-only child(29.3%);A total of 133 students(48.2%)live in cities,50 students(18.1%)live in counties and townships,and 93(33.7%)live in rural areas.(2)The score of time management disposition in undergraduate nursing students was(3.38±0.47).The average score was higher than 3 points,it was at the upper middle level.There were significant differences in gender,nationality,grade,whether the only child,server as the class cadre and motivation of mobile phone usage(P<0.05).(2)The score of mobile phone dependence of undergraduate nursing students was(45.73±12.43),which was lower than the theoretical median,it was at the lower middle level,and the detection rate of mobile phone dependence was 35.9%.There were significant differences in gender,origin of students,motivation of mobile phone usage,mobile phone pay and daily use time(P<0.05).(3)The score of coping styles of undergraduate nursing students was(16.59±7.42),positive coping(2.90±0.49)was higher than negative coping(2.28±0.58),indicating that the coping styles of undergraduate nursing students tended to be positive.There were significant differences in gender,nationality,motivation of mobile phone usage and mobile phone pay(P<0.05).(4)Time management disposition was negatively correlated with mobile phone dependence in undergraduate nursing students(r=-0.302,P<0.05),and positively correlated with coping style(r=0.603,P<0.05).Mobile phone dependence was negatively correlated with coping style(r=-0.323,P<0.05).(5)After the regression analysis of time management disposition in undergraduate nursing students,it is concluded that gender,grade,the only child,interpersonal communication,entertainment,mobile phone dependence and coping style were the influencing factors of time management disposition,and the 43.1% variance was predicted,among which the coping style is the biggest predictor of time management disposition.Conclusion:(1)The time management disposition of undergraduate nursing students were at the upper middle level,and the female students,Han nationality,senior students,the only child,the student cadre and using mobile phone to study were better in time management disposition.(2)The mobile phone dependence of undergraduate nursing students were at the lower middle level,the female students,the source place of students in the towns,using mobile phone for less than4 hours daily,using mobile phone for learning and mobile phone pay(>RMB50 per month)were less reliant on mobile phones.(3)The coping styles of undergraduate nursing students tended to be positive,the female students,Han nationality,mobile phone pay(>RMB50 per month)and using mobile phone for interpersonal communication and learning tended to be positive.(4)The undergraduate nursing students with higher time management disposition would have lower dependence on mobile phones,and the coping styles of undergraduate nursing students tended to be positive.(5)Mobile phone dependence,coping style,gender,grade,the only child and motivation of mobile phone usage were the main factors affecting the time management disposition in undergraduate nursing students,among which coping style was the most predictive factor.
