Clinical Observation On Postoperative Rehabilitation Of Rotator Cuff Injury By Shujin Zhuyu External Lotion

ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to observe the effect of using the Shujin Zhuyu external lotion on improving the pain and functional rehabilitation of patients with rotator cuff injury after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair(Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair,ARCR),and to provide a basis for clinical promotion.MethodsA total of 90 cases diagnosed with rotator cuff injury and undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair were collected from January 2020 to January 2021 by the Department of Orthopedics I of Dongguan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine according to the inclusion criteria,exclusion criteria,exclusion criteria,and aborted detachment criteria.They were divided into experimental group and control group by random number table method,45 cases each.Both groups were performed by members of the same surgical team,and surgical implants manufactured by the same company were used in both groups.In the control group,conventional treatment and functional exercise were given after surgery,while in the experimental group,the shoulder was fumigated on the basis of the control group with the Shujin Zhuyu external lotion for 1 month.The VAS pain score,UCLA shoulder score,and quantitative scale of rotator cuff injury symptoms and signs were recorded in the two groups at 2 weeks and 6 weeks postoperatively,respectively.The SPSS25.0 statistical software was used for data statistical analysis to evaluate the therapeutic effect of Shujin Zhuyu external lotion.ResultsA total of 90 patients were admitted in the experiment,one case was dislodged in the process,four cases were withdrawn,and 85 cases were finally included,of which 43 were male and 42 were female.Statistically,there were no statistically significant differences in age,gender,disease duration and injury site between the two groups(P>0.05).The differences in VAS pain scores,UCLA scores and quantitative scale scores of rotator cuff injury symptoms and signs between the two groups were not statistically significant at 2 weeks postoperatively(P>0.05);the experimental group had significantly better VAS pain scores,UCLA scores and quantitative scale scores of rotator cuff injury symptoms and signs than the control group at 6 weeks postoperatively,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the experimental group’s VAS pain scores,UCLA scores and quantitative scale scores of rotator cuff injury symptoms and signs before and after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05);the VAS pain scores,UCLA scores and quantitative scale scores of rotator cuff injury symptoms and signs were statistically significant in the control group before and after treatment(P<0.05).No adverse reactions such as wound infection and local skin allergy occurred in both groups during the experiment.ConclusionCompared with the treatment of rotator cuff injury by shoulder arthroscopy alone,the combined use of Shujin Zhuyu external lotion can effectively improve the postoperative patients’ VAS pain score,UCLA shoulder score,quantitative scale score of rotator cuff injury symptoms and signs,improve the postoperative activity function and pain of the affected shoulder,improve the postoperative satisfaction of the patients,have a significant positive impact on the affected shoulder,and improve the clinical efficacy.
