Research On Justice Issues Of Precision Medicine

Precision medicine,as the development direction of modern medicine,has several new characteristics such as individuation,digitalization and prediction.Precision medicine could improve the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment further,and avoid ineffective treatment and excessive consumption of medical resources,effectively.However,several justice problems,such as procedural justice and substantive justice,present during the development process of precision medicine.Procedural justice focuses on procedural justice.Equality,accuracy,openness and respect are the four necessary conditions for procedural justice.Equality means equal treatment for every social individual.Accurate disclosure of all information related to the distribution is required.Openness requires openness,transparency and interpretability of procedures.Respect requires respect for people’s dignity.If it fails to meet the conditions of equality,accuracy,openness and respect in the practice of precision medicine,which focuses on individuation,digitalization and prediction,it will result in the problem of procedural justice.First of all,precision medicine focuses on individualized medicine,however magnifying the differences between different individuals in the medical process will lead to unequal treatment of different individuals;Secondly,it can not use data accurately,openly and respectfully due to the complexity of data program when precision medicine uses data for diagnosis and treatment;Finally,precision medicine focuses on predictive medicine,and it will not meet the open conditions of procedural justice by the uncertainty of the prediction process.In order to realize the development of procedural justice,we should put forward the countermeasures of equal respect for individual differences,the establishment of data transparency mechanism and open prediction mechanism to ensure the countermeasures meet the four conditions of procedural justice.Substantive justice focuses on result justice.On the one hand,substantive justice pays attention to the balance between resource supply and demand,on the other hand,it also pays attention to whether people should be treated properly.In the practice of precision medicine,individual differences make precision medicine need high investment,resulting in the imbalance of resource supply and demand;The complexity of data results makes precision medicine tend to be data oriented,which will make patients get the treatment that they should not be treated;The uncertainty of the prediction results represents the possibility of a disease risk,which will limit people’s free choice and make patients accept the treatment they don’t deserve.Therefore,in view of the high cost caused by individual differences,this paper puts forward the countermeasures of reasonable allocation of resources to reduce the pressure of unbalanced supply and demand of resources;In view of the tendency of datalism contained in the complexity of data results,this paper puts forward the countermeasures of people-oriented utilization of data;Aiming at the problem that the uncertainty of prediction results restricts people’s free choice,this paper puts forward some countermeasures to improve the main body’s coping ability,so as to ensure the balance of resource supply and demand,make people get the due treatment,and realize the fair development in essence.In summary,in the basic stage of the development of precision medicine,precision medicine with the characteristics of individualization,digitalization and prediction should be developed according to the requirements of justice,so as to bring happiness to human health.
