Study On Prevention And Control Of Epidemic Diseases And Public Health Construction In Zhejiang Province(1927-1937)

During the period of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,diseases occurred frequently in Zhejiang Province,which seriously damaged people’s life,health and production.Under such pressure,after the establishment of the Nanjing Nationalist Government,Zhejiang actively constructed its own epidemic prevention and control mechanism,committed itself to the treatment and prevention of epidemic diseases by setting up epidemic prevention agencies,promulgating relevant laws and regulations,and establishing epidemic reporting system.The promotion of epidemic prevention in zhejiang province involves two aspects:emergency treatment and preventive public health construction,which jointly promote the epidemic prevention in zhejiang province to get on the right track.In the treatment and treatment of acute epidemics,the government sets up special prevention and treatment agencies according to the types of epidemics,investigates the causes of diseases and carries out prevention and treatment work.In the process of treating the epidemic,the government has also combined with social forces to prevent and control the epidemic,effectively and quickly extinguish the epidemic and reduce its harm.In terms of preventive public health construction,it involves environmental health,diet health,school health,health campaign and other paths.In practice,the concept of the government and the masses,the interests of the contradiction appeared,the people’s hesitation and wait-and-see also led to the epidemic prevention work has been stagnant.With the success of the government’s publicity,education and epidemic prevention measures,the public began to change their attitudes and actively cooperate with the epidemic prevention.Although the construction of the epidemic prevention mechanism is often faced with the constraints of funds,resources,talent shortage and other factors,the initial establishment of the epidemic prevention mechanism in Zhejiang Province,for the prevention of disease with half the effort,also improved the health situation in Zhejiang to a certain extent.
