Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of glucose and lipid metabolism in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, and conduct a Meta-analysis on the diagnostic value of micro RNA in polycystic ovary syndrome.Methods:(1)Patients admitted to Reproductive Medicine Center of Shanxi Children’s Hospital/Shanxi Maternal and Child Health Hospital from March 2018 to December 2018 were collected.According to the diagnostic criteria of polycystic ovary syndrome in Rotterdam in 2003,the patients were divided into polycystic ovary syndrome group, and healthy women with infertility due to male factors were selected as the control group. The clinical characteristics of blood glucose level, blood lipid level and body mass index of the two groups were analyzed.(2)Conduct a Meta-analysis on the diagnostic value of micro RNAs in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.Results:1.Analysis results of clinical characteristics of PCOS group and control group(1)Basic clinical data: the age of PCOS group was higher than that of control group, and the difference was not statistically significant(P=0.41).BMI of PCOS group was higher than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The proportion of secondary infertility in PCOS group was higher than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).(2)In terms of glucose and lipid metabolism, the proportions of hyperglycemia, hypertension, cholesterol and triglyceride in PCOS group were all higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.01).(3)Dietary structure: the proportion of high carbohydrate and low protein diet in PCOS group was higher than that in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).2.Meta-analysis of the diagnostic value of microRNA in PCOSThe sensitivity and specificity of micro RNA for the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome were 0.72(95%CI 0.67-0.77),0.77(95%CI 0.73-0.81),3.18(95%CI2.66-3.80),and NLR(negative likelihood ratio).0.36(95%CI 0.31-0.42),the diagnostic score was 2.17(95%CI 1.90-2.45),the odds ratio was 8.79(95%CI 6.68-11.56);The AUC of the area under the fitted SROC curve was 0.81(95%CI 0.78-0.85).The results showed that micro RNA had high diagnostic value in the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome. Results of the Meta-analysis of the diagnostic value of miR-93 for PCOS were as follows: sensitivity 0.61(95%CI 0.50-0.70),specificity 0.76(95%CI 0.65-0.84),and positive likelihood ratio PLR: 2.52(95%CI 1.80-3.53),negative likelihood ratio NLR was 0.52(95%CI 0.42-0.64),diagnostic score was 1.58(95%CI 1.14-2.03),odds ratio was 4.87(95%CI 3.12-7.61),The AUC of the area under the fitted SROC curve was 0.74(95%CI 0.70-0.77).Results of Meta-analysis of the diagnostic value of miR-21 in PCOS were as follows: sensitivity, specificity, and PLR were 0.86(95%CI 0.67-0.95),0.64(95%CI0.50-0.76),and positive likelihood ratio(PLR)were: 2.38(95%CI 1.77-3.02),negative likelihood ratio NLR was 0.22(95%CI 0.10-0.50),diagnostic score was 2.39(95%CI1.54-3.23),odds ratio was 10.86(95%CI 4.66-25.32);The AUC of the area under the fitted SROC curve was 0.78(95%CI 0.75-0.82).Conclusion:1.Clinical data showed that PCOS patients were characterized by higher BMI,unbalanced diet, hypertension, hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia.2.Meta-analysis results showed that microRNAs had high diagnostic value for PCOS,and micro RNA-21 had higher diagnostic value than micro RNA-93,that could be a potential marker for the diagnosis of glucose and lipid metabolism characteristics of PCOS.
