Objective:Establish the Chinese version of the TOA scale and analyze the reliability and validity of the scale to provide an effective and reliable assessment tool for domestic preoperative anxiety research;preliminary analysis of the overall status of patients’ preoperative anxiety and related influencing factors.Method:After translation, back translation and cultural adjustment, the initial Chinese version of the TOA scale was formed. The initial Chinese version of the TOA scale was used to conduct a pre-survey of 30 preoperative patients, and the official Chinese version of the TOA scale was revised based on the feedback results.A total of 230 preoperative patients were investigated using the official Chinese TOA scale.SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical analysis, item analysis, reliability and validity analysis of the scale, and the overall status of preoperative anxiety level and related influencing factors of the patients were analyzed.Result:1.The Chinese version of the TOA scale was formed.2.The result of the coefficient of variation method showed that the CV value of each item of the Chinese version of the TOA scale was all >0.25;the result of the decision value method showed that the CR value of each item of the Chinese version of the TOA scale was all >3.0,and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.001);The result of item coefficient method showed that the correlation coefficient r between the 20 items of the Chinese version of the TOA scale and the total score of the scale was 0.553~0.726,all of which were statistically significant(P<0.001).3.The Cronbach’s α coefficient of the Chinese version of the TOA scale is 0.936.4.Exploratory factor analysis results show that the Chinese version of the TOA scale can extract 3 common factors, with a cumulative contribution rate of 59.574%.The correlation coefficient between the Chinese version of the TOA scale and the Chinese version of APAIS was 0.664,which was statistically significant(P<0.001).5.The total average score of the Chinese version of the TOA scale of this study is29.48 ± 8.54 points. The age of the patient has an influence on the score of the TOA scale. Conclusion:The Chinese version of the TOA scale has good discrimination, good reliability and validity, and can be used as a domestic preoperative anxiety assessment tool.Patients in this study have a certain degree of preoperative anxiety and hope to arouse the attention of related medical personnel.
