| ObjectiveTo explore the Value of the sign of linear circular enhancement in the differential diagnosis between abscess and primary necrotic tumor.MethodsRetrospectively analysis the CT imaging data of 112 cases and relevant pathological images of 93 cases with abscess and primary necrotic tumor confirmed by pathology, operation or clinical following-up from January 2016 to October 2018,the occurrences of the sign of linear circular enhancement in two kinds of diseases were counted, and the result was analysed by using the chi-square test.Results65 and 2 had the sign of linear circular enhancement in the 73 cases with abscess and the 39 cases with primary necrotic tumor respectively, with the percentage of both to be 89.0% and 5.1%.In 8 cases of misdiagnosed cases of abscess,7 cases have this sign,in 3 cases of misdiagnosed cases of primary necrotic tumor fail to record this sign. There are significant differences in this imagine character between abscess and primary necrotic tumor(P<0.05).Furthermore,pathological images showed that major inflammatory granulation tissue wrapped around the necrotic area in abscess and contained many capillaries and the edge of necrosis area in tumor was tumor cells and few of their disorderly and nourishing blood vessels.ConclusionThe sign of linear circular enhancement is the manifestation of inflammatory granulation tissue in enhanced CT images, and it could be used as one of the means of identification for both abscess and primary necrotic tumor. |
