Clinical Study On ShaoyaoGancao Decoction Treating Liver-yin Deficiency Hyperprolactinemia Caused By Antipsychotic Drugs

Objective Observe the clinical efficacy and safety of ShaoyaoGancao decoction treat liver Yin deficiency hyperprolactinemia caused by antipsychotic drugs.Provide a new way to treat hyperprolactinemia caused by antipsychotic drugs.Methods According to the principle of randomized,dividing 150 hyperprolactinemia(HPRL)patients caused by antipsychotic drugs into three groups,the ShaoyaoGancao decoction group(n=53),the Bromocriptine group(n=48),the ShaoyaoGancao decoction combined with Bromocriptine group(the combination group,n=49).All the patients were coming to Tongde hospital of Zhejiang province,Mental Health Clinic Center of Zhejiang province for medical treatment,during September 2014 to December 2015.8 weeks as a course of treatment.Determinating concentration of serum prolactin and evaluating the clinical symptoms of patients respectively at the beginning of the treatment,the second week,the fourth week,the eighth week.Monitoring the patient’s vital signs by blood routine,urine routine,stool routine,liver function,kidney function,ECG examination and evaluating clinical safety by Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale,Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale respectively at the beginning of the treatment,the fourth week,the eighth week.Results The clinical efficacy of the combination group was better than the ShaoyaoGancao decoction group and the Bromocriptine group(p<0.05),but no statistically significant difference between the ShaoyaoGancao decoction group and the Bromocriptine group(p>0.05).The response rate of the Bromocriptine group(72.9%)was higher than the ShaoyaoGancao decoction group(67.9%).The incidence of adverse reactions of the Bromocriptine group and the combination group were significant higher than the ShaoyaoGancao decoction group(p<0.05).Conclusion The serum prolactin level and the scores of TCM symptoms scale of HPRL patients could significantly decrease by ShaoyaoGancao decoction combined with Bromocriptine.Bromocriptine could significantly decrease the serum prolactin level,but it might cause many adverse reactions and fluctuate patients’ psychiatric symptoms in a small chance.Acute psychiatric patients should be cautious in using Bromocriptine.The response rate of ShaoyaoGancao decoction was lower than Bromocriptine,but during the treatment no adverse reaction appeared and the psychiatric symptoms of patients were stabilized.The clinical safety of ShaoyaoGancao decoction was better,and worth popularizing in clinical practice.
