To Investigate The Efficacy Of The Acupuncture And Moxibustion On The Pregnancy Outcomes Among Women Undegoing Frozen-thawed Embryo Transfer And Preliminary Mechanism Research

Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of the acupuncture on pregnancy outcomes in women undergoing frozen-thawed embryo transfer,as well as its potential mechanisms.Methods:There are 50 participants undergoing FET were randomised in two groups:acupuncture(n=25)and control group(n=25).All patients in two groups recieved frozen-thawed embryo transfer.Besides,acupuncture and moxibustion were performed three sessions per week and everyday respectively started from two menstrual cycles prior to the scheduled FET.The serum sex hormone levels,endometrial thickness,endometrial pattern and pregnancy outcomes were compared.Results:Acupuncture compared with control group:1.Implatation rate:In acupuncture group,the implatation rate were significantly higher than in control group(58.5%and 35.9%,P<0.05);2.Serum progesterone level on the day of endometrial transformation in acupuncture group was significantly lower than in control group(1.84±0.97 and 2.51±1.04,P<0.05);3.Endometrial pattern on the day of endometrial transformation in acupuncture group was significantly different with control group(P<0.05).Acupuncture group was consisted of type A and B endometrium and control group was consisted of type A,B and C endometrium;4.There was no significant differences in serum estrogen level and endometrial thickness on the day of endometrial transformation、serum estrogen and progesterone level、endometrial thickness and parttern on the day of embryo transfer between the two groups(P>0.05),as well as biochemical pregnancy rates、clinical pregnancy rates and miscarriage rates.When serum progesterone level on the day of endometrial transformation and implatation rate were grouped by different types of endometrium on the day of endometrial transformation,we found type B endometrium has a higher implatation rate than type C(P<0.05),and both type A and B endometrium have a lower serum progesterone level than type C(P<0.05).Conclusions:The efficacy of the acupuncture combined with FET has a positive effect on the outcome of implatation rate,the mechanism may be related to its effects on serum progesterone level,which normalized the endometrial pattern,therefore the embryonic evelopment is synchronize with endometrial development which improved the endometrial receptivity.
