Objectives To compare the value of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Digital Breast Mammography for Non-calcified Breast Cancer.Materials and Method Images of 119 patients with non-calcified breast cancer(119 confirmed lesions in total)were retrospectively reviewed;these images were acquired from January 2016 to December 2019 in the 900th hospital of the PLA joint logistic support force. All images were acquired on a clinical 3T MRI scanner(Siemens Magnetom Skyra)and digital breast mammography. All patients underwent digital breast mammography whose lesion was diagnosed with non-calcified breast cancer. Then, they were confirmed by pathology. All data were measured and post-processed based on mammography and magnetic resonance images.Mammography can determine the nature of breast lesions by analyzing the morphological manifestations(shape, edge, density),whether the structure is distorted, whether it is symmetrical with the contral ateral gland and other related signs(skin retraction, nipple retraction, skin thickening, axillary lymph node enlargement).Breast MRI can comprehensively judge the nature of breast lesions by analyzing morphological manifestations(shape, edge, enhancement mode)and TIC curves. Finally, the results were analyzed using SPSS 24.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were drawn, with the pathological results as the gold standard,to evaluate the diagnostic performance of different examination methods and combined diagnosis. The areas under ROC curves(AUCs)were compared. The difference among MG and MRI in detecting non-calcified breast cancer were compared using chi-square test in terms of positive rates, accuracy, sensitivity and specificity. Results The AUCs of MRI、MG and combination for diagnosing with non-calcified breast cancer were 0.633、0.618 and 0.720,respectively(P<0);the sensitivity of MRI and MG for diagnosing with non-calcified breast cancer were 95.7%、90.3%,the specificity was 100%、96.2%,and the accuracy was 92.4%、70.6%,indicating that MRI(x2=19.835,P<0)had higher diagnostic accuracy than MG(x2=5.026,P=0.025).Conclusions Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Digital Breast Mammography play an important role in the diagnosis of non-calcified breast cancer.Magnetic Resonance Imaging has higher rates and accuracy than Digital Breast Mammography in detecting non-calcified breast cancer. The diagnostic efficiency was improved by combining the advantages of the two techniques.
