| ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to explore the application effect of MOOC based flipped classroom teaching mode in nursing humanities courses, and to evaluate the satisfaction of students with teaching methods, examination results and self-learning situation respectively through comparison with traditional classroom,so as to provide basis and support for better optimization of nursing humanities teaching program.MethodsA cluster sampling method was used to select 120 undergraduate nursing majors of 2016 in a university as the research objects, and they were divided into two groups,60 students in each group. The experimental group and the control group adopted flipped classroom and traditional teaching mode respectively. After the teaching, the test scores of the two groups were compared and a questionnaire survey was conducted. All data were analyzed by spss22.0 statistical analysis software.Measurement data were expressed by means of mean ± standard deviation, counting data cases,t-test and 2-test for comparative analysis.Results1.The results show that 52(86.67%)students are satisfied with the curriculum,43(71.67%)students think it improves their enthusiasm for learning,34(56.67%)students preview the curriculum before class,51(85.00%)students improve their ability to understand and use knowledge, and 49(81.67%)students think it strengthens team cooperation.2.After class test results of the experimental group showed that: students with score ≤ 70 accounted for 10%,students with score above 70 accounted for 18.3%,students with score above 80 accounted for 61.7%,and students with score of 90-100 accounted for 10%.The average score of the students who used the traditional teaching method was 77.12 ± 5.49,the average score of the students who used the MOOC + flipped classroom teaching mode was 80.25 ± 6.17,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.After teaching, the scores of autonomous learning ability in the experimental group were 84.40 ± 4.35 points higher than that in the control group(58.43 ± 3.20 points),the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusions1.The implementation of flipped classroom teaching mode improves the independent learning ability of nursing students.2.The implementation of flipped classroom teaching mode makes teachers’ teaching more flexible and free, and students’ satisfaction is higher.3.The implementation of flipped classroom teaching mode strengthens students’ understanding of humanistic knowledge and improves students’ test scores. |
