Preliminary Evaluation And Reliability And Validity Analysis Of The Moxibustion Propagated Sensation Scale

Objective:Based on the previous research of the Moxibustion Propagated Sensation Scale,this paper conducted a characteristic evaluation of the existing preliminary survey version of the Moxibustion Propagated Sensation Scale.It evaluated good reliability and validity in propagated sensation in moxibustion,including the type of moxibustion sensory transmission,the role of quantifying the strength of moxibustion sensory transmission,and accordingly formed the official version of the Moxibustion Propagated Sensation Scale,which provides a scientific and effective tool for in-depth study of the relevant laws and mechanisms of moxibustion sensory transmission.Methods:Pre-investigation.A total of 154 subjects with meridian-like transmission of moxa stick were selected to conduct a clinical survey of Pre-investigation.After collecting the data,the discrete trend analysis,principal component factor analysis,cluster analysis,and Cronbach coefficient method,were used to screen the entry for the preliminary survey version of the scale.Therefore,the Pre-investigation version of the scale was modified and improved to form a preliminary draft of the scale.Formal survey.Select 100 cases of meridian-sensing sentiment to moxa moxibustion,conduct a clinical survey of the first draft of the scale,collect the scale data,and evaluate by calculating Cronbach’s alpha coefficient,Spearman-Brown coefficient and Guttman’s halving coefficient The inherent reliability of the scale.Then the structural validity of the scale is evaluated by exploratory factor analysis,and the exploratory factor analysis results are verified by cluster analysis.Finally,the completion time of the questionnaire and the recovery rate of the effective scale are used to evaluate the feasibility of the scale.On this basis,the draft scale was revised and improved to form the official version of the scale.Result:Pre-investigation.According to the screening result of the items and the of the items,and Pre-investigation result,the 12 items were merged into 6 items,4 items were deleted,and 1 item was modified.At the same time,the first draft of the scale added a supplementary description of the scale items and a visual analog scoring part of the overall Propagated Sensation intensity to form the first draft of the scale.Formal investigation.①Reliability analysis:The overall Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of the first draft of the scale was 0.376,indicating that the internal consistency between the items was poor and the internal reliability was poor.However,after deleting the three items of"heat expansion","deep heat" and"distant heat",the overall Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of the scale increased to 0.516.At this time,the Spearman-Brown coefficient of the scale is 0.751,and the Guttman half-coefficient is 0.746.The internal reliability of the scale meets the requirements of the exploratory scale.②Validity analysis:Content validity:In the preliminary research process of this scale,experts participated in the construction of the scale framework and the item pool,and conducted two expert interviews successively to initially screen items,which shows that the scale has good content validity.Structural validity:Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test and Bartlett sphericity test were used to evaluate the feasibility of factor analysis,and then the exploratory factor analysis was performed using the principal component method.Six common factors are extracted according to the feature root greater than 1,and the cumulative contribution rate of the six common factors is 72.26%.All common factor explanations are consistent with the scale’s preset structure and clinical reality,and the scale’s structure validity is good.The classification situation verified by cluster analysis is highly coincident with the factor analysis situation in exploratory factor analysis,which further proves that the scale validity is good.③Feasibility analysis:The recovery rate and completion rate of the scale are both 100%,and both reach more than 85%.The shortest time to complete the scale is 21s and the longest is 230s,expressed as R(P25,P50,P75)as 136.20(89.25,110.00,132.75)s,which is much lower than 900s(15min).It can be considered that the scale is easy to accept and the completion is ideal.According to the above statistical analysis results,combined with the clinical investigation,delete 2 items to form the official version of the scale.Conclusion:The results of this study show that the Moxibustion Sense Transmission Evaluation Scale has qualified reliability and validity,and has good feasibility.It can be used as an objective,comprehensive and universal evaluation tool for assessing the type of Quantify the strength of moxibustion.
