| Shanbu Mingyi Fanglun(Cuts and Supplements to Monograph on Prescriptions of Famous Doctors)is the first and only monograph on prescriptions compiled by the government in ancient China.It is regarded as a required reading for studying prescriptions.This article,with the method of philological research,based on the author’s understanding of Huangdi Neijing(Huangdi’s Internal Classic),Shuanghan Lun(Treatise on Febrile Diseases),Jingui Yaolue(Synopsis of Prescriptions on the Golden Chamber)and Zhongyi Gejia Xueshuo(Theories of Various School of Traditional Chinese Medicine),tries to make a comprehensive,systematic and further study of Shanbu Mingyi Fanglun for the first time and draws the following conclusions:Most prescriptions included in this book were created before the Ming and Qing Dynasties,especially those created by ZHANG Zhongjing,LI Dongyuan and included in Taiping Huimin Hejiju Fang(Prescriptions from the Great Peace Imperial Grace Pharmacy).On the orgnization of prescriptions,the method of classifying prescriptions embodied in this book is practical.This book leared from Gujin Mingyi Fanglun(Ancient and Modern Famous Doctors’ Monograph on Prescriptions)in the aspects of prescription selection,arrangement and prescription theory,but made some cuts and supplements.Many viewpoints in this book were inherited and developed from the theories in Huangdi Neijing,ZHANG Zhongjing’s prescriptions and other medical theories of doctors who lived in Ming and Qing dynasties.On the discussion of prescriptions,this book had the following characteristics:explaining medical theories by citing natural and social law,discriminating treatments of diseases and syndromes wisely and discussing prescriptions by analogy,drawing inferences about other cases from one instance. |
