| Radiation therapy is currently a main clinical method for treating cancer.More than 70% of cancer patients need radiotherapy.The dose calculation and evaluation of radiotherapy planning is a key.Based on our framework of intelligent radiotherapy system guided by mutil-modality medical image,this article has completed the design and development of a dose calculation and evaluation subsystem f or radiotherapy planning of tumors.The subsystem provides a convenient operation for radiotherapy physicians,and it is user-friendly,highly intelligent platform to calculate and evaluate the dose of a radiotherapy plan.This article is based on the medical image processing software package ITK,visualization toolkit VTK and graphical user interface development framework QT,and used object-oriented development methods and Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 development tools.This article has completed the design,development and test of the system functions,such as reading and browsing radiation therapy dose files,calculating the dose of a radiotherapy plan,evaluation of tumor control probability and normal tissue complication probability.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Read and browse radiation therapy dose files by the combination of sequence file reading and single file reading in ITK.(2)Calculate the dose of a radiotherapy plan by a pencil beam dose calculation method based on the patient’s CT image,radiotherapy profile and radiotherapy plan information.The generated dose image is superimposed on a CT image to display the dose distribution clearly by adjusting the transparency,and it is also saved as a DICOM-RT RD file,which is convenient for subsequent evaluation at any time.(3)Evaluate the biological effects of tumors and normal tissues after receiving radiotherapy doses,including two evaluation methods for tumor control probability and normal tissue complication probability calculation. |
