Objective to explore the relationship between Obstructive Sleep Apnea Hyponea Syndrome(OSAHS)and sex hormone levels, and analyze the related factors influencing the secretion of sex hormone in OSAHS patients. Methods A retrospective study was conducted to collect 224 male patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome(OSAHS)diagnosed by polysomnography in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of our hospital from January2016 to June 2018.Forty male patients with simple snoring in the same period were selected as control group.Analyzed the clinical data of patients, including general information(age, body mass index(BMI),neck circumference, waist circumference, sleepiness scale score),polysomnography monitoring indicators(apnea hypoventilation Index(AHI),lowest SpO2,average SpO2,SpO2<90%time,oxygen drop Index)and sex hormone levels(follicle stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, estradiol, testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, prolactin).Compare the difference between OSAHS group and simple snore group.Spearman rank correlation was used to analyze the correlation between sex hormones and various indicators.Multiple linear regression was used to study the relationship between sex hormones and various indicators.Results(1)Rank-sum test showed that there was no significant difference in age between the simple snore group and OSAHS group(P=0.816).(2)The BMI,neck circumference, waist circumference and sleepiness scale scores of patients in OSAHS group were all higher than those in the simple snore group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)AHI,SpO2<90%time and oxygen drop index in OSAHS group were higher than those in snoring group. The lowest SpO 2 and average SpO 2 in OSAHS group were lower than those in simple snoring group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)There was no significant difference in follicle stimulating hormone, estradiol, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, luteinizing hormone and prolactin between OSAHS group and simple snoring group(P>0.05).The testosterone level in OSAHS group was lower than that in snoring group(P<0.05).There were significant differences in testosterone between mild and moderate groups, and between mild and severe groups(P<0.05).(5)Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that testosterone was positively correlated with the lowest SpO2 and average SpO2(rs>0),negatively correlated with BMI,neck circumference, waist circumference,AHI,SpO2<90%time and oxygen drop index(rs<0).(6)Multiple linear regression showed that testosterone had a linear relationship with BMI,neck circumference and AHI.Conclusion Obesity is a risk factor for OSAHS.The worse the condition of OSAHS,the lower the level of testosterone.BMI,neck circumference and AHI can affect testosterone secretion.
