A Study On The Current Situation And Intervention Of Occupational Protection Education For Nursing Students In Secondary Vocational Schools In Hainan Province

In recent years,the occupational environment of nursing has become increasingly complex with increasing risks.Nursing students in the secondary vocational schools,who are at the high risk of nursing occupational hazards,should be provided with occupational protection ability and the protection by schools and hospitals.At present,the occupational protection education in Hainan Province is lagging behind,making it necessary to improve the occupational protection education for nursing students in secondary vocational schools to ensure the occupational safety and physical and mental health of these nursing students.The research includes four parts: research design,investigation of current situation,strategy discussion and empirical research on intervention.The first part is research design.By consulting the literature,it is found that there are only some researches on the occupational protection education for nursing students in colleges,while less attention is paid to the occupational protection education for nursing students in secondary vocational schools,and relevant researches in Hainan Province are rarer.Currently,no independent course of nursing occupational protection has been established in various health schools in Hainan Province,and the situation of the occupational protection education for secondary vocational nursing students in Hainan is far from encouraging,which requires an urgent improvement.The author summarizes the literature to design research solutions to address the problems.The second part is the investigation of current situation.By investigating the health schools,internship hospitals and nursing students in secondary vocational schools in Hainan Province,the current situation and existing problems of the occupational protection education for secondary vocational nursing students in Hainan Province are analyzed.The main problems include the imperfect and nonsystematic occupational protection education in various health schools and internship hospitals;the clinical teachers’ poor evaluation on the occupational protection ability of secondary vocational nursing students;common occupational exposure and weak occupational protection ability of nursing students in secondary vocational schools;the demands of schools,hospitals,and nursing students to establish independent occupational protection course.The third part is strategy discussion.After the investigation and analysis of the current situation of occupational protection education for nursing students in secondary vocational schools,the strategies of improving the nursing occupational protection education in Hainan Province are proposed.Firstly,independent occupational protection course should be set up;and multi-party cooperation should be developed,mainly including: give full play to the functions of competent departments to promote the construction of occupational protection course for nursing students in secondary vocational schools;fulfill the responsibility of school education,implement the whole process of occupational protection education for secondary vocational nursing students;gradually improve the hospital internship plan,and implement the practice of occupational protection education for nursing students in secondary vocation schools.The fourth part is the empirical study on intervention.The designed occupational protection course for secondary vocational nursing students is used by some nursing students of grade 2016 in Hainan Provincial Health School to verify the effect of the intervention.The course mainly involves the protection from four dimensions of nursing occupational hazards,relevant legal knowledge,psychological lectures and etc.The results of this study show that the systematic occupational protection course established through the cooperation of schools can significantly reduce the occupational exposure rate of nursing students in secondary vocational schools,improve their knowledge and skills of occupational protection,and the occupational protection attitude to a certain extent.The research results provide certain reference for enhancing the occupational protection level of secondary vocational nursing students in Hainan Province and establishing the occupational protection education model in Hainan Province.
