| Objective:To evaluate the effect of long-term treatment for the elastic function of macrovascular by using Bushen Hemai pellet Prescription in stage 1 isolated systolic hypertension(ISH)with kidney-qi deficiency syndrome,and explore its biological mechanism of blood pressure lowering.Methods:A single-center randomized clinical trial with prospective,complete randomization,positive drug control and double-blind study.The clinical blood pressure(CBP),brachial-ankle artery pulse wave velocity(baPWV),carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity(cfPWV)and central artery pressure(CAP)were used as the outcome indicators.The course of treatment was 24 weeks.During the experimental cycle,the group using perindopril combined with Bushen Hemai pellet Prescription placebo(control group,n=31),and the group using Bushen Hemai pellet Prescription combined with perindopril placebo(experimental group,n=29),and avaluate the efficacy of the elastic function of macrovascular.Results:(1)At baseline,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)After the treatment for 12 weeks,there was no difference in every CBP parameter between the two groups(P>0.05).After the treatment for 24 weeks,compared with the control group,SBP and PP in the experimental group were further reduced about 4~6mmHg,and there were obvious differences between two groups(P<0.05).(3)There was no difference in cfPWV、baPWV and CBP between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After the treatment for 24 weeks,compared with the control group,cfPWV、baPWV、AI and AIP75 in the experimental group decreased significantly(P<0.05)Conclus i on:Bushen Hemai pellet Prescription may be based on the hemodynamic approach(12 weeks of treatment),and improve the elastic function of macrovascular(24 weeks of treatment)by a new effect approach.Therefore it may need a long time(≥24 weeks)medication. |
