Clinical Observation On Treating Knee Osteoarthritis By Fumigating And Washing Of Modified Haitongpi Decoction Formula Combined With Compound Xuelian Capsule

Objective:By observing the difference in clinical efficacy between fumigating and washing of modified Haitongpi Decoction formula combined with compound Xuelian capsule and Nonsteroidal Antiinflammatory Drugs-Celecoxib in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KOA),the purpose of this research is to verify the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine therapy in the treatment of this disease and to provide a more effective,safe and reliable treatment scheme for clinical treatment.Methods:60 patients who meeting the criteria were divided into 30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group according to random principle.The treatment group was treated with fumigating and washing of modified Haitongpi Decoction formula combined with compound Xuelian capsule,while the control group treating with Celecoxib.Two groups were treated for a course of treatment which is 4 weeks.The changes of WOMAC scores and subchondral bone marrow edema scores were observed before and after treatment.Result:1.There were no significant differences in gender,age and course between the two groups(p>0.05).There were no significant differences in WOMAC scores,total scores and subchondral bone marrow edema scores between the two groups before treatment(p>0.05).2.Before and after treatment,there were highly significant differences in the each score and total scores of WOMAC and subchondral bone marrow edema scores in the treatment group(p<0.01);in the control group,there were significant differences in stiffness scores and subchondral bone marrow edema scores(p<0.05)and there were highly significant differences in the scores of pain,joint function scores and the total scores of WOMAC(p<0.01).3.After treatment,there were no significant differences in the scores of pain(p>0.05)in two groups.There were significant differences in joint function scores and the total scores of WOMAC(p<0.05)and highly significant differences in stiffness scores and subchondral bone marrowedema scores in two groups(p<0.01).4.The total effective rate was 92.86% in the treatment group and was 85.71%in the control group with significant differences(p<0.05).Conclusion:Two treatment methods that fumigating and washing of modified Haitongpi Decoction formula combined with compound Xuelian capsule and Celecoxib can generate a good therapeutic effect on KOA.But using fumigating and washing of modified Haitongpi Decoction formula combined with compound Xuelian capsule has better therapeutic effect in stiffness,joint function and subchondral bone marrow edema,and it is also superior to Celecoxib in the clinical effect.
