| In our country lung cancer ranks first in the incidence and mortality of cancer.Due to the lack of specific manifestations, most patients are already at an advanced stage when diagnosed.Studies have shown that carers of lung cancer are mainly relatives, and most of them are spouses and children.Because of their relatives suffering from lung cancer, their caregiving burden is heavy, and at the same time they are generally insufficiently prepared and have a large number of unmet needs, which threatens their physical and mental health, reduces their quality of life, and affects their care for lung cancer patients. Therefore, corresponding support is urgently needed to help them improve their readiness and respond to unmet needs, however, domestic interventions for carers of cancer patients are relatively small, and there is a lack of interventions specifically for carers of advanced lung cancer patients..ObjectiveTo construct of a psychoeducation intervention program for carers of advanced lung cancer patients based on the needs of carers aiming to reduce the physical and mental burden of carers and improve their quality of life, thereby improving the quality of care for lung cancer patients and alleviating the suffering of lung cancer patients..MethodThis research adopts literature analysis method, qualitative interview method, group discussion method, and expert consultation method.① Literature analysis method:Systematic search relevant literature on the needs of carers of cancer patients and psychoeducation interventions for carers of lung cancer patients, summarize the needs of carers of cancer patients, the general law of psychoeducation intervention for carers of lung cancer patients.② Qualitative interview method:Using purpose sampling method, select carers of advanced lung cancer patients and nurses who meet the inclusion criteria in a tertiary first-class hospital in Shandong Province, inform the purpose and method of the interview, seek the consent of the participants, and conduct a semi-structured interview according to the pre-designed outline.③Group discussion method:Establish a subject research team and conduct multiple scientific research meetings to discuss intervention programs for carers of advanced lung cancer patients as well as specific index items at all levels,to select authoritative and representative relevant experts, and gradually formulate psychoeducation intervention programs for carers of advanced lung cancer patients.④Delphi expert consultation method:After obtaining the consent of the experts, send the "Inquiry Form for the Construction of Psychoeducation Intervention Program for Carers of Advanced Lung Cancer Patients"to the experts, and modify the intervention program according to the experts’assignment of the mean value of the index importance, the coefficient of variation and the experts’ suggestions.ResultThis study finally constructed a psychoeducation intervention program for carers of patients with advanced lung cancer that included 4 first-level indicators,14 second-level indicators,35 third-level indicators, and 55 fourth-level indicators. In this study,15 experts were invited to go through two rounds of expert letter inquiries, and the expert group authority coefficient was 0.93,which has good representativeness and authority. After two rounds of correspondence, the coordination coefficients for the importance of indicators at all levels were 0.270 and 0.281 respectively, the P values were all<0.001,and the coefficients of variation of each item were all<25%,the opinions of experts tend to be consistent.ConclusionThrough systematic retrieval and literature analysis, this study found that there are currently few domestic literatures related to psychoeducation intervention for carers of patients with advanced lung cancer, and there is a lack of research on psychoeducation intervention specifically for carers of patients with advanced lung cancer.Through qualitative interviews with caregivers of patients with advanced lung cancer, caregivers generally expressed the need for intervention and support. This study constructed a psychoeducation intervention program for caregivers of patients with advanced lung cancer, which will help to reduce the physical and mental burden of caregivers and improve their quality of life, thereby improve the quality of care for lung cancer patients and alleviate the suffering of lung cancer patients. |
