| BACKGROUNDIn January 2019,the "National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan" proposed that"vocational education and general education are two different genres of education,with equal important status",which laid the foundation for Higher Vocational Colleges in the national modern vocational education system.The State Council issued "Education Modernization of China in 2035",which proposed to develop higher vocational education under the theoretical framework of developing popular education,lifelong education and building an education oriented society.In order to conform to the needs of the times and ensure that the knowledge and skills learned by students fully meet the social employment demand,higher vocational colleges should attach importance to the cultivation of lifelong self-learning ability of nursing students who come from junior college(hereinafter referred to as nursing students.Under the current educational pattern,the teaching method of nursing education is weighted in favor of knowledge-transference,however lacks sufficient attention to the self-learning ability of nursing students.The Ministry of education points out in the "Educational Informatization Version 2.0 Action Plan" that to meet the needs of talent cultivation in the information era,build a learner centered educational ecology,promote the deep integration of information technology and education,in order to form a good mechanism of self-learning.In the pedagogical practice,it is necessary to innovate the talent cultivation mode and explore new approach of educational reform to improve the self-learning ability of nursing students.In this context,this study focus on the investigation as well as the influence factors of nursing students’ current self-learning ability,design and implement the teaching reform online to offline intervention scheme based on Vocational Education cloud platform,aiming to provide reference for nursing students’ cultivation of self-learning ability,which has important theoretical value and practical significance for current nursing education.Objectives1.To describe the status of autonomous learning ability of nursing students and analyze its influencing factors.2.Objective to design the online and offline hybrid teaching reform scheme of internal medicine nursing based on Vocational Education cloud platform,select a medical college sophomore nursing students to carry out experimental research,and evaluate the intervention effect of Hybrid Teaching on their autonomous learning ability.Subjects and MethodsPart Ⅰ Influencing factors of autonomous learning ability of nursing studentsThe evaluation instruments,including the Self learning Ability Evaluation Scale for Nursing Students,Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version and General Self-efficacy Scale etc.,1008 nursing students from grade one to grade three of Zhaoqing Medical College were selected as the research objects from April to June in 2018 to investigate the status of self-learning ability of nursing students and analyze the influencing factors.To construct and test the relationship model of influencing factors of nursing students’ autonomous learning ability.Part Ⅱ An intervention of online and offline hybrid teaching based on vocational education cloud platform in autonomous learning ability of nursing students.Objective to design the online and offline hybrid teaching design intervention scheme based on Vocational Education cloud platform,and apply it to the teaching of internal medicine nursing.In this study,105 sophomores from a medical college in Zhaoqing City were selected as the intervention objects.The teaching reform was carried out with the goal of improving self-learning ability.The intervention lasted for one semester,with a total of 60 class hours.The control group was given conventional classroom teaching.The scores of the two groups were compared by the self-learning ability evaluation scale for nursing students,and the teaching effect questionnaire was used to investigate the intervention group.STATISTICS AND ANALYSIS1.Quantitative research data:the data were input into excel and analyzed by SPSS 21.0.The methods included descriptive statistical analysis;Chi-square test,one-sample t-test,paired t-test,F test,LSD test for multiple comparison;Pearson correlation analysis,multiple linear regression analysis,repeated measurement of analysis of variance(ANOVA).Multiple stepwise regression analysis is used to analyze the influencing factors of autonomous learning ability,with P<0.05 as the difference is statistically significant.Amos was used to construct structural equation model and path analysis.Bootstrap method was used to test the mediating effect.2.Intervention data:SPSS 21.0 software was used for statistical analysis.The mean±standard deviation was used for descriptive statistical analysis;chi square test was used for the rate and constituent ratio of count data;paired sample t test was used for comparison of measurement data to analyze the intervention results.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).RESULTS1.The score of autonomous learning ability was 107.44 ± 12.01,and the average score of items was 3.58±0.40.The scores of each dimension from high to low were learning cooperation ability 3.68 ± 0.46,learning motivation 3.64±0.48,self-management ability 3.56±0.48 and information literacy 3.47±0.50.2.The score of critical thinking was 283.47±23.90;The total score of general self-efficacy was 22.55±4.60.The total score of self-learning ability was positively correlated with the total score of critical thinking(r=0.57,P<0.01),the total score of self-learning ability was positively correlated with the total score of general self-efficacy(r=0.43,P<0.01).3.The results of multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that grade,willingness to engage in nursing profession for life,liking nursing major,self-confidence in critical thinking,thirst for knowledge,systematic ability,analytical ability,open-minded and general self-efficacy accounted for 50.70%of the variation of self-learning ability score(P<0.05).4.The path of general self-efficacy to self-learning ability,general self-efficacy to critical thinking and critical thinking to self-learning ability of nursing students were all established(P<0.05),and the standardized path coefficients were 0.073,0.549 and 0.687,respectively.All the fitting indexes of the model met the fitting standards,indicating that the model was reasonable.After bootstrap test,the total effect,indirect effect and direct effect of general self-efficacy on autonomous learning ability were 0.450,0.377 and 0.073 respectively,the mediating effect accounted for 83.78%of the total effect,and the 95%CI of indirect effect and total effect did not include 0,indicating that the total effect and indirect effect were significant,and the direct effect was 95%CI includes 0,indicating that the direct effect is not significant,suggesting that general self-efficacy has no significant influence on autonomous learning ability.General self-efficacy indirectly affects autonomous learning ability through the role of critical thinking.5.Based on the vocational education cloud platform,this study designs the online and offline hybrid teaching reform scheme and applies it to the teaching of internal medicine nursing.The online teaching design includes the introduction of data and pre-test before class,discussion and rush answer in class,homework and reflection after class.The offline teaching design adopts the classroom teaching mode centered on case.After the implementation of the mixed teaching reform,the total score of autonomous learning ability in the teaching reform group was significantly higher than that in the control group,the score of self-management ability and learning cooperation dimension was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05)CONCLUSION1.The self-learning ability of junior college nursing students is affected by many factors,such as individual demographic characteristics(grade,willing to engage in nursing profession for life,nursing major),critical thinking(critical thinking self-confidence,thirst for knowledge,systematic ability,analytical ability,open mind),general self-efficacy and so on.General self-efficacy has an indirect impact on autonomous learning ability through the role of critical thinking.2.An online and offline hybrid teaching design intervention scheme based on Vocational Education cloud platform was designed and applied to the teaching of internal medicine nursing,and the teaching effect was significant.The design of mixed teaching can improve the self-learning ability of nursing students. |
