Objective:At present, surgery is one of the major treatments for gastric cancer. However, postoperative stress reaction caused by surgical trauma and postoperative complications has a great impact on postoperative rehabilitation.Enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)is a new perioperative management concept using a multidisciplinary treatment model. It can reduce stress response and postoperative complications, maintain patient homeostasis and improve patient prognosis.Combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine based on ERAS,is a combination of the concept of ERAS and the concept of combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine. In recent years, the research of combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine based on ERAS is also increasing, and has achieved remarkable curative effect in general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, anorectal surgery and other surgical operations. But most studies have focused on promoting rapid postoperative recovery, ignoring the basic features of TCM theory.Adopts the concept of combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine based on ERAS,this study applied Chinese and western medicine treatment methods, such as analgesia pump and oral Chinese medicine. In this study, the rehabilitation of patients with spleen qi deficiency after gastric cancer operation was studied,to understand the safety and efficacy of combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine based on ERAS.It is hoped to expand new ideas for the application of ERAS and provide help for the research of combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine based on ERAS.Methods:In this study,55 patients of gastric cancer with spleen qi deficiency after operation who were hospitalized in Shanxi Provincial People’s Hospital from July 2020 to December2020 were included.Among them,28 patients in ERAS group underwent perioperative management with the concept of ERAS,and 27 patients in experimental group underwent perioperative management with the concept of combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine. And we collected some data on these patients, including the postoperative hospital stay, the time of the first anal exhaust and nasogastric tube removal after surgery, the postoperative hospitalization cost and the incidence of postoperative complications.SPSS was used for statistical analysis of the data, and comparison of categorical variables was performed using the Chi-square test or independent samples t-test.The ordinal variable and the date of skewed distribution were compared using the Mann-Whitney U test. Results:There was no significant difference between the two groups in drainage tube withdrawal time, postoperative pain, nausea and vomiting(P>0.05).Compare data of the postoperative hospital stay, the first postoperative defecation time, borborygmus recovery time, and the time of the first anal exhaust and nasogastric tube removal after surgery, the time of experimental group was shorter than that of ERAS group,The difference between the two groups has statistical significance(P < 0.05).In terms of postoperative complications, the incidence of delayed gastric emptying in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the ERAS group(P<0.05).And there was no significant difference in postoperative bleeding, infection, anastomotic fistula and other complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine based on ERAS can promote postoperative gastrointestinal peristalsis, shorten the length of hospital stay, accelerate the recovery of patients, and don’t increase the incidence of postoperative complications. It is safe and effective to be used in patients with spleen qi deficiency after gastric cancer operation.
