| Objective: Collected the clinical medical records of 743 patients with malignant oral-maxillofacial tumors in the 2 wards of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.The onset age,gender characteristics,ethnic distribution,disease site,pathological type,the main risk factor of the patients and other datas are analyzed and discussed.Methods: Select the clinical informations of the patients with malignant oral-maxillofacial tumors who were hospitalized in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery(Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Trauma and Orthognathic Surgery,Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Oncology Surgery)at the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2014 to December 2019.Categorize and statistics the acquired clinical data,and retrospectively analyze their age,gender,ethnicity,disease site,pathological type and main risk factors.Results: A total 743 cases were collected,including 475 males and 268 females.The ratio of male to female was 1.77:1.The age group of 50 to 59 years old was the most common age group.The average age of the total population was 53.67±14.30.The ethnic distribution is dominated by the Han nationality,followed by the Uygur and Kazakh nationalities.The lesion location was tongue 224 cases(30.15%),parotid 96 cases(12.92%),lip 75 cases(10.09%),gingiva 72 cases(9.69%),67 cases(9.02%)in cheeks,59 cases(7.94%)in jaws,palate 51 cases(6.86%),neck 37cases(4.98%),mouth floor 25 cases(3.36%),facial skin 23 cases(3.09%),submandibular gland 9 cases(1.21%),sublingual gland 5 cases(0.67%).The most common pathological type is squamous cell carcinoma of epithelial origin in malignant tumors,accounting for59.08%.The tongue 152 cases was the largest number of cases of squamous cell carcinoma,accounting for 34.62%.The number of smoking male patients with squamous cell carcinoma was 189,accounting for 58.85% of the total number of male patients with squamous cell carcinoma,and the number of smoking male patients with adenoid cystic carcinoma was 26,accounting for 44.07% of the total number of male patients with adenoid cystic carcinoma.Conclusion:The age range of 40 to 80 years old is the prevalence of malignant oral-maxillofacial tumors,and the peak age is 50 to 59 years old.Among the patients,males are more common in women.The ethnic composition of patients with malignant oral-maxillofacial tumors is the first among the Han people(52.62%)),the most common site of incidence is the tongue,more common malignant tumors are squamous cell carcinoma of epithelial origin,and the tongue is the most common site of SCC.Smoking is main risk factors of oral squamous cell carcinoma. |
