| Objective: To detect the correlation between platelet count and Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)expression in patients with ulcerative colitis(UC)and its clinical significance. Methods:Methods: 82 patients with UC were selected as the research objects. The serum VEGF concentration was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The subjects were divided into two groups: non platelet count group(group A)and platelet count group(group B).The patients were divided into mild group(Group C),moderate group(Group D),severe group(Group E),sufficient vitamin D group(Group F),insufficient vitamin D group(group G),and 40 patients with simple gastric and intestinal polyps as control group. The correlation between platelet count and VEGF and the degree of disease course were analyzed. The correlation between vitamin D level,interleukin-6 and platelet count,VEGF were analyzed. Results:Compared with the control group, the concentration of VEGF in group A and group B was the highest, followed by that in the non platelet elevated group, and the lowest in the control group. In group C,D,e and control group, the difference of platelet count in Group E was the largest, followed by Group D.there was no significant difference between control group and group C.The concentration of VEGF was in the order of E group,D group and C group.Compared with group F,platelet count and serum VEGF concentration in group G were significantly higher than those in group F.Conclusion: The level of vitamin D can affect the platelet count and serum VEGF concentration.IL-6 is positively correlated with platelet count and serum VEGF concentration. |
