Clinical Observation On Treating Simple Obesity Based On "Yang Transform To Qi,Yin Turn Into Xing"

Objective: Based on the theory of "Yang transform to Qi and Yin turn into Xing",Professor He Ze proposed the method of Huatan Wenyang Shugan to treat simple obesity.To observe and evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Huatan Wenyang Shugan decoction in the treatment of simple obesity(spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome),and to provide new methods and new ideas for the treatment of simple obesity with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods: 72 cases of simple obesity in endocrine and metabolic disease clinic of Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Chinese medicine were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,36 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated with Huatan Wenyang Shugan decoction,while the control group was treated with Shenling Baizhu powder.At the same time,two groups of patients were given strict basic treatment,including diet control,scientific exercise,health education and so on.After 12 weeks of treatment,the improvement of body weight,body mass index(BMI),body fat rate,waist circumference,waist hip ratio(WHR),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and the total score of TCM syndrome were compared between the two groups before and after treatment,and analyzed and evaluated by SPSS 26.Results: At the end of the treatment,the total effective rate of the control group was64.52%,and that of the treatment group was 87.50%.In addition,the treatment group can significantly reduce the patients’ body weight,BMI,body fat percentage,waist circumference,WHR,compared with the control group with statistical significance(P <0.05),In particular,the treatment group has a significant effect on reducing body fat percentage,while the control group has no obvious effect.The treatment group also had a significant effect on regulating blood lipid and improving TCM clinical symptoms,which was better than the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion: This study shows that,based on the theory of "Yang transform to Qi,Yin turn into Xing",the method of Huatan Wenyang Shugan has achieved significant clinical effect in the treatment of simple obesity.It can not only improve clinical symptoms,but also effectively reduce weight,BMI,body fat rate,waist circumference,WHR,blood lipid,etc.,which can provide new clinical basis for the treatment of obesity with traditional Chinese medicine,and is worthy of further promotion.
