| Objective: 1.To investigate and analyze the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of Rosacea and the dermatology life quality index of these patients.2.To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of minocycline combined with ElectroOptical Synergy in the treatment of Rosacea. Methods: The research was consisted of two parts.1.Analysis of clinical characteristics of Rosacea.(1)Collect the demographic data(age, gender, education level, occupation, etc.),clinical data(classification, type and distribution of rash, symptoms, previous treatment, aggravating factors, etc.)and the dermatology life quality index of 90 Rosacea patients through questionnaire survey.(2)Measurement data was expressed as `x±s,and enumeration data was expressed as frequency, rate and constituent ratio, descriptive analysis of the survey results.2.The clinical efficacy of minocycline combined with Electro-Optical Synergy in the treatment of Rosacea.(1)Selected 30 patients with erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea(ETR)and papulopustular Rosacea(PPR),oral minocycline capsule treatment and daily skin care with Winona Soothing Moisturizing Cream.Use one’s own half face control study, treatment on the left face with Electro-Optical Synergy, each treatment interval was 4 weeks, treatment 4 times, and the right face as a control.Bilateral facial evaluation was performed before treatment and 4 weeks after the last treatment(the 16 th week).Evaluation of the improvement of Rosacea from different dimensions of skin lesions, rational symptoms and VISIA red areas.(2)The scores of facial erythema, telangiectasia, papulopustule, rational symptoms and absolute scores of VISIA red areas obeys normal distribution were expressed by `x±s. The comparison within the same group before and after treatment was performed by paired sample t test, and the comparison between groups was performed by independent sample t test;the count data was expressed by frequency and rate, and the effective rate comparison between groups was performed by Mann-Whitney U test. The test level was α=0.05,the difference was statistically significant when P <0.05.Results: 1.Analysis of clinical characteristics of Rosacea.(1)The basic demographics of 90 patients with Rosacea were as follows: the ratio of male to female was 1:7.1,which was more common in female patients. The oldest age was 70 years old,the youngest was 16 years old,and the mean age was 38.49±10.91 years old.It was more common between 30-49 years old(70%).(2)In 90 cases of Rosacea,ETR(44 cases,48.8%)and PPR(41 cases,45.6%)were most common. The skin lesions were mostly distributed in the cheeks(93.3%),nose and perinasal(62.2%),mouth and jaw(47.8%),were common in erythema(90%),flushing(81.1%),and telangiectasia(76.7%).The patients(88 cases 97.8%)with different degrees of rational symptoms, such as skin burn(80.7%),pruritus(76.3%),dry(72.7%)were most common. The patients(89 cases,98.9%)were considered to have aggravating factors, such as sun exposure(73.0%),diet(61.8%)and hyperthermia(55.1%)were more common. The patients(79 cases,87.8%)had been diagnosed and treated,of which 36 patients(45.6%)were diagnosed as rosacea at first visit, and 43 patients(54.4%)had been diagnosed with other confusing facial skin diseases or had not been clearly diagnosed.(3)The DLQI scores of 90 Rosacea patients ranged from 3 to 24,with an average value of 10.51±4.67,which had a moderate effect on the life of the patients.According to the DLQI scores, the top three in descending order of the impact on the life of the patients were embarrassed inferiority complex(1.83±0.71),skin itching pain(1.58±0.70)and social leisure life(1.34 ± 0.97).2.The clinical efficacy of minocycline combined with Electro-Optical Synergy in the treatment of Rosacea.(1)There were no statistically significant differences in erythema, telangiectasia, papules, pustules, rational symptoms scores, and absolute scores of VISIA red areas between the treated side and the control side(P>0.05).The treated side post-treatment scores of erythema, telangiectasia, papules, pustules, rational symptoms and VISIA red areas value were all lower than per-treatment,the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).The control side post-treatment scores of erythema, papules, pustules, rational symptom and VISIA red areas valu were all lower than per-treatment,the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).The post-treatment scores of treated side were lower than the control side, such as erythema, telangiectasia, papules, pustules, rational symptoms and VISIA red areas value, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)The curative rate, effective rate and overall effective rate of the treatment side and the control side were20.0% VS3.3%,76.7% VS33.3%,96.7% VS83.3%,the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment side was superior to the control side.(3)There were no adverse reactions on the treatment side and the control side. Conclusion: 1.The 90 cases of Rosacea in this study showed the following characteristics: predominantly in young and middle-aged women aged 30-49.In the clinical classification,ETRand PPRwere the most common.Skin lesions are mainly distributed in the middle of the face, with persistent erythema, paroxysmal flushing and capillary dilatation were the most common. The most common symptoms were skin burn, pruritus, and dry.The effect on quality of life is moderate, and the first three items that have a greater impact were: embarrassed inferiority complex, skin itching pain and social leisure life.2.Minocycline combined with Electro-Optical Synergy can significantly improve erythema, capillary dilatation, papules pustules in patients with ETRand PPR,and relieve subjective symptoms. The improvement of erythema, telangiectasia and subjective symptoms is better than treatment with minocycline alone, and there was no adverse reaction. |
