Objective:By giving stroke patients“regulating brain and lung”acupuncture combined with respiratory training treatment to explore whether the combination of the two therapies can effectively improve the respiratory function of patients, and observe whether the combination of the two therapies can produce synergistic effect,so as to explore a more effective respiratory function treatment program for stroke patients. Methods:A total of 72 patients who met the inclusion criteria and who were hospitalized in the Department of Acupuncture,Rehabilitation and Encephalopathy of Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to January 2021.They were divided into observation group and control group with 36 patients in each group by using the random number table method.Patients in both groups were given conventional treatment. The control group was given respiratory training on the basis of conventional treatment, and the observation group was given“regulating brain and lung”acupuncture on the basis of the treatment of the control group.Patients in both groups were treated once a day,6 days a week and 1 day of rest for 3 weeks. The efficacy was evaluated by comparing the changes in the evaluation indicators of patients before and after treatment. The efficacy evaluation indexes included Fatigue Severity Scale(FSS),neural function deficiency, respiratory symptoms quantification score and pulmonary function index:Forced Vital Capacity(FVC),Forced Expiratory Volume in the first second(FEV1),Peak Expiratory Flow(PEF),and Maximal Voluntary Ventilation(MVV).Efficacy classification was graded according to the changes of respiratory symptom scores before and after treatment,so as to compare the total effective rate between the two groups.Results:(1)Pulmonary function index:After the course of treatment, the FVC,FEV1,PEF and MVV of patients in the two groups were increased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).After the course of treatment, the indexes in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).(2)Fatigue Severity Scale(FSS)score:After the course of treatment, the FSS scores of patients in the two groups were decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).After the course of treatment, the FSS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).(3)Neural function deficiency:After the course of treatment, the NIHSS scores of patients in both groups were decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).After the treatment, there was no significant difference in NIHSS scores between the two groups(P>0.05).(4)Respiratory symptoms quantification score:After the course of treatment, the respiratory symptom scores of patients in both groups were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).After the course of treatment, the symptom score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).(5)Total effective rate:The total effective rate was evaluated according to the grading of respiratory symptoms. The total effective rate of the observation group was 90.91%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 84.85%.The effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Under the premise of receiving conventional treatment(conventional medical treatment and limbs rehabilitation training),The treatment of“regulating brain and lung”acupuncture combined with respiratory training and respiratory training alone can effectively improve the pulmonary ventilation function(FVC,FEV1,MVV,PEF),alleviate the fatigue severity, reduce the degree of neural function deficiency, relieve the respiratory symptoms of stroke patients. However,“regulating brain and lung”acupuncture combined with respiratory training is better than respiratory training alone in improving pulmonary ventilation function, alleviating severity fatigue and relieving respiratory symptoms.
