Research purpose:Through the investigation of nursing ethical qualities of nursing staff in a tertiary hospital,the current situation of nursing ethical knowledge,belief,behavior and the main existing problems,as well as the main influencing factors of nursing ethical qualities difference of clinical nursing staff were understood.At the same time,the interview method was used to understand their qualitative judgment on the basic status quo and existing problems of nursing ethical qualities,in order to provide factual basis for medical institutions at all levels to explore effective measures and improvement paths to improve nursing ethical qualities of nursing staff.Methods:This study adopts literature research method,questionnaire survey method and interview method.A total of 1,160 copies of the Questionnaire on Knowledge,Believers and Practices of Nursing Ethics of Nursing Staff were distributed,and 1,147 were effectively received with an effective recovery rate of 98.9%.Using Excel to input data and establish a database,and SPSS23.0 to analyze the data.The frequency and composition ratio were used for descriptive analysis of the data.Chi-square test unifactor statistical method was used to analyze the data,and P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.At the same time,the main problems existing in nursing ethics and suggestions for improvement were qualitatively studied through interviews.Results :(1)Nursing ethics/medical ethics education has been popularized in colleges and universities,91.5% of nursing staff have learned about nursing ethics/medical ethics.(2)As for "the main way to acquire knowledge of nursing ethics or medical ethics",83.3% of nursing staff obtained it through "learning in school",45.7%through "learning in hospital training",and 44.0% through "learning in continuing education after graduation".32.5% of nursing staff were acquired through "learning from the Internet,TV and other media channels".(3)Nursing staff have a high degree of acceptance of nursing ethical education,but the mastery of relevant nursing ethical knowledge and norms is obviously inadequate.(4)Nursing staff had the highest awareness of patient privacy content,followed by the lowest awareness of basic nursing ethical principles and informed consent concept.(5)Nursing staff had a better understanding of patients’ informed consent,followed by protection of patients’ privacy,and poor nursing ethics that put patients’ interests first.(6)The awareness rate of nursing staff on the basic ethical principles of patients’ participation in clinical drug trials is higher than that of organ transplantation ethical principles.(7)The nursing staff had a good correct rate for the selection of nursing ethical behavior.Interview results:(1)Most of the interviewees believe that technical service and humanistic care are complementary to each other in clinical nursing work,and both are indispensable;(2)Most interviewees believe that whether nursing staff systematically study nursing ethics,family upbringing,education background,social environment and other comprehensive aspects reflect the comprehensive quality of humanistic care of nursing staff;(3)Most interviewes believe that face-to-face teaching in the form of cases can strengthen nursing staff’s protection of patients’ privacy,informed consent principle and other related clinical cases,and that setting up real scenes and examples is more conducive to understanding.Conclusions :(1)Nursing ethics education in school is the main way for nursing staff to obtain nursing ethics knowledge;(2)The nursing staff have obvious differences in knowledge of nursing ethics;(3)Nursing staff’s understanding of the importance of informed consent,protection of patient privacy and the first-order ethical requirements of patient interests is still insufficient;(4)There are differences in nursing staff’s cognition of ethical principles related to medical high technology;(5)The correct choice of nursing ethical behavior of nursing staff is better;(6)The practice of nursing ethics by nursing staff needs to be improved;(7)Nursing staff have a high degree of support for the hospital to improve the level of nursing ethics.Suggestions :(1)Strengthen nursing ethical education in school learning stage;(2)To strengthen the in-service re-education and training of nursing ethical knowledge and skills;(3)The hospital should formulate and establish a sound nursing ethical management system;(4)take effective measures to strengthen the awareness of the importance of nursing ethics;(5)Strengthen the training of high and new technology for nursing staff and improve the quality of clinical research;(6)Advocate the promotion of quality service of nursing staff and establish a systematic supervision system.
