| Objective:(1)Assess the autonomic nervous function and emotional state of breast cancer patients;(2)Study the effects of binaural beats on the autonomic nervous function in breast cancer patients, and find effective ways to improve their autonomic nervous function and negative emotional state. Methods:This study enrolled 20 breast cancer patients, aged between18-65-year-old,who were hospitalized in the Oncology Department of the First Hospital of Jilin University from April to November 2020 as the experimental group,20 healthy people with matching basic data such as age and gender were selected as the control group.Through binaural beats, the brain perceives a frequency difference formed by two sound waves(for example,255-250=5Hz).This frequency can induce the brain to enter the Theta brainwave state.Assess the subjects’ anxiety/depression in the past month(Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale,HADS).Intervene the subjects with binaural beat method, record the short-term HRV changes of the pre-intervention,0-5min,10-15 min,20-25 min,45-50 min,and the subjective feelings of the patients during the intervention. In this study, the HRV detection has time domain, frequency domain and non-linear indicators, including Mean HR,Min HR,Max HR,SDNN,RMSSD,Stress Index(SI),LF,HF,LF/HF,SD1,SD2,SD2/SD1,Ap En,PNS index,SNS index.Results:1.HADS scale evaluation results: in the experimental group(breast cancer patients),7 people were diagnosed with anxiety(35%),8 people were diagnosed with depression(40%),6 people were both positive for anxiety and depression(30%),and 11 people were both negative for anxious and depressed;in the control group(healthy people),1 person was diagnosed with anxiety(5%),1 person was diagnosed with depression(5%),and 18 people were negative for anxiety and depression.2.HRV assessment results: Comparing the HRV test results of the experimental group(breast cancer patients)and the control group(healthy people)before binaural beat intervention, the differences in all indicators were not significant(all P>0.05).3.There are four detection time points during the binaural beat intervention. The Max HR,SDNN,RMSSD,LF,HF,SD1,SD2,PNS index of the experimental group(breast cancer patients)showed a downward trend compared with before the intervention. The Stress Index(SI)and Ap En both showed an upward trend compared with those before the intervention, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);while the above indicators of the control group(healthy people)did not show significant statistical differences, but the trend of change was same to that of the breast cancer patients.4.Taking SI>7.2(the Poincaré diagram is in a good dispersed state)as the positive standard, before binaural beat intervention, the proportion of positive people in the experimental group(breast cancer patients)is6/20(30%),and the control group(healthy people)is 7/20(35%);the detection time point of the 45-50 minutes of the binaural beat intervention process shows that the proportion of positive people in the experimental group(breast cancer patients)is 18/20(90%),and the control group(healthy people)is 15/20(75%).Conclusion:1.In this study, the HADS scale is used to evaluate the anxiety/depression of hospitalized patients. Before the intervention, the positive ratio of anxiety/depression in breast cancer patients was significantly higher than that of healthy people.2.HRV is currently the gold standard for evaluating the stability and activity of the autonomic nervous system. At the same time,it is also the most accurate indicator for measuring the state of human mental stress.During the intervention of binaural beats, the time domain, frequency domain and nonlinear indicators of HRV show that binaural beats have a significant effect on the autonomic nervous function of breast cancer patients, and at the same time, they have a significant effect on improving the mental stress status of breast cancer patients. The intervention effect of healthy people has a similar trend.3.The majority of people in this study(including breast cancer patients and healthy people),after the intervention of binaural beats, the Poincaré diagram showed a good state of dispersion, and the subjects were in a relaxed and comfortable experience state."Binaural beats" can be used as an effective method for clinical assistance to improve the emotional stress of breast cancer patients. |
