MethodCollect the relevant information of 1147 male patients who went to the Andrology Laboratory of Subei People’s Hospital Reproductive Medicine Center for sperm DNA fragmentation index(DFI)test from December 16,2018 to October 31,2020: DFI Value, smoking, daily smoking, smoking age, smoking cessation, length of time to quit, body mass index(BMI),etc.;according to BMI value,BMI is divided into: thin group(BMI≤18.5),normal body weight(18.5<BMI<24.0),overweight group(24.0≤BMI<28.0),obesity group(BMI≥28.0);according to relevant indicators of smoking, grouped into: smoking group,non-smoking group, smoking cessation group;according to DFI size, grouping For the DFI≤15%group,15%<DFI<30% group, and DFI≥30% group, the data was analyzed using Spss26.0software.Result1.DFI≤15% group,15%<DFI<30% group,DFI≥30% group have significant differences in whether they smoke or not and different BMI values(P<0.05),smoking,thinness,overweight,and obesity are the influence Independent risk factors for DFI(P<0.05),the smoking group had a higher DFI than the non-smoker group, and in the overall trend,DFI was positively correlated with BMI.2.There are significant differences in DFI in smoking cessation, different BMI,daily smoking amount, and smoking age(P<0.05).The proportion of people with DFI≥30% in the smoking cessation group is 23.8%,which is significantly lower than the DFI in the non-smoking group ≥30% of the population accounted for 39.3% of the population, and the proportion of people in the smoking cessation group with DFI≤15% was 21.9%,which was significantly higher than that of the non-smoking group with DFI≤15% of 7.9%;The proportion of people with DFI≥30% in the obesity group was 65.5%,which was significantly higher than the proportion of people with DFI≥30% in the lean group, normal body weight, and overweight group,20.0%,27.1%,and 33.3%;DFI≥ The average daily smoking volume in the 30% group was 16.79 cigarettes, which was significantly higher than the 11.27 and 13.90 cigarettes in the DFI≤15%group and 15%<DFI<30%group;the average smoking age in the DFI≥30%group was 69.40 It was significantly higher than the average of 57.86 months and 63.33 months in the DFI≤15%group and 15%<DFI<30%group.3.The area under the AOC curve(0.767)is higher than the area under the curve of the two single factors(0.722,0.622).4.There is a very significant relationship between DFI and duration of smoking cessation(P<0.01),Pearson’s correlation coefficient is-0.467,and duration of smoking cessation is negatively correlated with DFI.5.The AUC of the area under the curve between BMI and DFI is 0.622,and the P value is statistically significant;after calculation, the threshold corresponding to the maximum Youden index is 22.06.Conclusion1.Smoking,underweight,overweight and obesity are independent risk factors for DFI.2.Smoking can damage sperm DFI,and the value of DFI is positively correlated with daily smoking and smoking duration.3.Quitting smoking is beneficial to the recovery of DFI.The longer the quitting time, the more DFI will recover.4.The combined effect of smoking and high BMI is higher than that of a single factor.Patients with both smoking and high BMI are more likely to have a higher DFI.5.The increase of BMI is positively correlated with the change of DFI,the body mass index is maintained between 18.5-22.06,and the possibility of DFI<15% is greater.
