Objective: Through in-depth study of Treatise on Febrile Diseases in Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan theory origin,historical evolution,prescription characteristics,compatibility and application,explore the theoretical significance and clinical value of Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan method.In order to improve the guiding value of Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan method in clinical medication.Method:(1)By using the method of literature research,this paper comprehensively collects and analyzes the ancient literature related to the method of Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan,and uses Wanfang,Tsinghua Tongfang database and other retrieval methods to study its origin.(2)Sorting out the prescriptions containing the method of Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan in Treatise on febrile diseases,using the auxiliary platform of traditional Chinese medicine inheritance,using the method of data mining to analyze the formula of Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan,and get the medicine Five Tastes and Channel Distribution and frequency.Result:(1)There are 28 prescriptions containing Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan method,accounting for 25% of the total prescriptions in Treatise on febrile diseases.It can be seen that Zhong Jing mostly uses Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan method to treat diseases.(2)According to the data mining,most of the drugs belong to the spleen meridian;the most frequently used drugs are licorice and Ramulus Cinnamomi;the most frequently used drugs are pungent and sweet.(3)The syndrome of Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan method is mainly caused by the injury of Yang Qi by mistakenly applying perspiration,vomiting and downward method.Conclusion:(1)The term"Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan"was first proposed by Chen Xiuyuan(陈修园).(2)The combination of pungent medicine with warming and tonifying effect and sweet medicine with tonifying effect is the method of pungent,sweet and transforming Yang.(3)In Treatise on febrile diseases,there is no word about the method of transforming the pungent and the sweet into the Yang.Later doctors put the principle of compatibility of Zhongjing’s classical prescriptions as the method of transforming the pungent and the sweet into the Yang.The method of transforming the pungent and the sweet into the Yang is not a specific treatment,but a principle of compatibility.(4)The principle of Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan method provides a new idea for Future generations of doctors.(5)Zhongjing pioneered the application of Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan method in syndrome differentiation.It expanded the specific treatment of Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan method and established the classic prescription of Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan method.(6)In Treatise on febrile diseases,the Yang-Oriented Xin-Gan method has 11 specific functions,such as helping Yang and transforming Qi,warming meridians and dispersing cold,nourishing yin and Yang,harmonizing Ying and Wei,expelling the evils in muscles By means of diaphoresis,warming spleen and tonifying deficiency,suppressing hyperactive liver for descending adverse qi,warming heart Yang,warming blood vessels,warming spleen and tonifying Yang,and restoring yang and rescuing patient from collapse.
