Discussion On The Application Of Therapy For Elevating Yang In Gynecopathy

ObjectiveTherapy for elevating Yang originated from the theory of Qi ascending and descending in Neijing,and was clearly proposed by Li Dongyuan during the Jin and Yuan Dynasties after the evolution of Treatise on Febrile Diseases.It was a method to use the wind medicine to boost the rising Yang qi and treat qi activity lifting and descending.In addition to other internal diseases,Li Dongyuan also applied it to gynecological diseases,such as disintegration and leakage,etc.Later,the method of rising Yang was inherited and developed by doctors in successive dynasties.The purpose of this paper is to sort out the historical origin and development of Yang-rising method and its application in gynecological diseases,summarize the experience of doctors in the past dynasties,and extract the typical applicable syndromes and representative prescriptions,as well as the addition and subtraction treatment schemes,in an attempt to provide effective treatment ideas for the gynecological clinic of traditional Chinese medicine.MethodsThis paper is mainly based on literature research and theoretical review.Literature research:focus on reading the representative ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine and Gynecology,including Chen Ziming’s "women’s complete prescription",Li Dongyuan’s "orchid room secret collection",Wu Zhiwang’s "outline of Jiyin" and Xue Ji’s "summary of women’s Department" as well as Fu Qingzhu’s "Fu Qingzhu’s women’s Department",and modern doctors’ works include Zhang Xichun’s "Intergrating Chinese and Western Medicine",Pu Fuzhou’s medical experience and Zhao Shaoqin’s selected clinical cases.Theory review:on the basis of studying the original data,according to the historical period,summarize the theory and experience of ancient physicians,extract the typical syndrome types,treatment methods,prescriptions and their compatibility and application.ResultsThe first part is about the academic origin and development of the method of rising Yang and its application in gynecological diseases.In the Song,Jin and Yuan Dynasties,Li Dongyuan clearly put forward the method of rising Yang theory,including a complete set of differentiation and treatment system of principle and prescription and medicine.In the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the method of rising Yang was inherited and developed,especially the master of Fu Qingzhu’s Obstetrics and Gynecology,which flexibly applied the method to various gynecological diseases,including flooding and spotting,and leakage,sterility,infertility,etc.The second part is the main syndromes and representative formulae of gynecological diseases applicable to the method of rising Yang,which are respectively Qingqi depression,Fengmu depression and fire stagnation.The three syndromes all have the pathological basis that Qi deficiency of spleen and stomach causes Qingyang not to rise.Qingqi depression syndrome is the simple Qi depression of spleen and stomach.Fengmu depression is in the spleen and stomach Qi deficiency on the basis of liver drainage dysfunction,so that the liver Qi can not grow;Fier stagnation is Qingqi sag for a long time and turn it into a fire.Buzhongyiqi decoction was used to treat Qingqi depression syndrome,Wandai decoction to treat Fengmu depression syndrome and Yang-rising and fire-dispersing decoction to treat hot depression syndrome.The third part is the final elaboration of the concrete application of the rising Yang method,which is not only the sinking of middle qi but also other syndromes.If qi deficiency and deficiency of both Yin and blood,treatment with Dang Gui Shao Yao Tang;And kidney Yin and Yang two deficiency,treatment for bingti soup.If there is blood stasis,and treat at Liqi Sanyu decoction.If the turbid qi does not descend,and treat with Flavored buzhong yiqi decoction.If there is dampness pathogen,treatment with Yang-Ascending Dampness-Dispelling Decoction.ConclusionTherapy for elevating Yang was put forward by Li Dongyuan,a doctor of Jin Dynasty,and creatively applied in gynecological clinic.Its theory,method,prescription and medicine are complete.Later generations of doctors have achieved good curative effect under the guidance of this method,leaving a wealth of works and medical cases.After the inheritance and development of ancient physicians,the method of ascending Yang has been expanded from the original Qi of spleen and stomach to the Qi of liver,and the differentiation and treatment of ascending air in chest and Qi of spleen and stomach has been widely used in clinic in modern times.In short,although the method of ascending Yang is ancient,it is still of high clinical significance.
