Objective:This study aims to observe the clinical effect of Jia-Jian-Di-Huang-Yin-Zi decoction on motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease(PD)with the Synd rome of Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency.METHODS:A total of 40 patients were selected,all of whom were from the outpa tient and inpatient departments of encephalopathy department of Nanjing Hospital of Trad itional Chinese Medicine and Pukou District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine fro m 2020.06.01 to 2020.11.31.All the enrolled patients were in line with the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease with the Syndrome of Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency in traditional Chi nese medicine and the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease by the International Movement Di sorders Association of Western Medicine(MDS).Control group(n=20)were treated acc ording to the Chinese guideline for Parkinson’s disease treatment.Treatment group(n=20)were given control group combined with Jia-Jian-Di-Huang-Yin-Zi decoction.Treatment for 12 weeks.MDS-Unified Parkinson Disease Rating Scale(MDS-UPDRS),Non-motor Sy mptoms Score(NMSS),Parkinson’s disease Questionnaire-39(PDQ-39),Pittsburgh Sleep Quali ty Index(PSQI),Constipation Severity Scale(CSS),Hamilton’s Depression Scale(HAMD)and TCM Syndrome Scale were evaluated respectively before enrollment and at the end of 1,2 and 3 months after the intervention.Result:1.There were no significant differences in gender,age,disease course,Hoehn-Yahr gradi ng,MDS-UPDRS,MDS-UPDRS,NMSS,PDQ-39,PSQI,CSS,HAMD scores between the two g roups before enrollment(P>0.05),the baseline conditions of patients in the two groups were similar and comparable.2.The effect of the treatment group on UPDRS-Ⅲ and PDQ-39 was not significantly different from that of the control group at 1 and 2 months(P>0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the effect of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the co ntrol group(P<0.05).The effect of the treatment group on UPDRS,NMSS,PSQI,HAMD was significantly higher in the treatment group than in the control group at 2 and 3 mo nths(P<0.05).The most obvious effect was the improvement of CSS and TCM syndrom es in the treatment group.Compared with the control group,the effect in the treatment group was significantly higher after 1 month,2 months and 3 months(P<0.05).3.Within 3 months of treatment,no serious adverse reactions occurred in the two gr oups,with good safety.Conclusion:1.Jia-Jian-Di-Huang-Yin-Zi decoction,can significantly improve the constipation sympt oms of PD patients the Syndrome of Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency and reduce the TCM syndrome scores after 1 month of treatment.2.Jia-Jian-Di-Huang-Yin-Zi decoction can significantly improve sleep,depression in PD patients with the Syndrome of Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency and decrease NMSS scores after 2 months of treatment.3.Jia-Jian-Di-Huang-Yin-Zi decoction can significantly reduce the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS-Ⅲ)and quality of life(PDQ-39)scores in PD patients wi th the Syndrome of Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency after 3 months of treatment4.Jia-Jian-Di-Huang-Yin-Zi decoction have good safety and tolerance in PD patients with the Syndrome of Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency.
