Impact Study Of Catgut Implantation At Acupoint By Coordinating The Triple Energizer On The Endocrine Hormone In Patients With The Simple Obesity

Objective: To investigate the effect of Catgut implantation at acupoint by coordinating the triple energizer on the Simple Obesity’s obesity indicators,which are including the Body weight,Body mass index(BMI),Waist circumference(WC),Waist-to-hip ratio(WHR)and related endocrine hormones such as Leptin and Insulin(INS)in peripheral blood of patients with the Simple Obesity,and then analyze its clinical significance.All that we done is to provide more ideas for clinical obesity treatment in the end.Methods: 60 patients with the Simple Obesity were randomly divided into Catgut embedding group(n=30)and Western medicine group(n=30).Catgut embedding group was given Catgut implantation at acupoint therapy according to the syndrome differentiation of the triple energizer,then each of the patients was treated with individualized acupoint prescription which regarded the bilateral Feishu,Pishu,Sanjiaoshu,Pangguangshu,Tianshu and unilateral Xuehai,Zusanli and Mingmen,Danzhong,Zhongwan,Qihai acupoint as the basic acupoint prescription every other 15 days and then we took 6 times as a course of treatment.Western medicine group oral the tablets named Metformin Hydrochloride Enteric-Coated Tablets for twice a day at the beginning and one tablet each time before the meal,then it can be added to three times a day and one tablet before the three meals in about a week,and90 days as a course of treatment.Before and after the intervention,the Body weight,BMI,WC,WHC,Leptin and INS levels of the two groups were detected.The obesity indexes of the two groups were compared,and their correlation and the follow-up study in one month were analyzed to judge the clinical efficacy and evaluate the safety.Results: With 2 cases were drop-off during the experiment,58 cases that including 28 cases in Catgut implantation group and 30 cases in Western medicine group were finished finally.(1)Comparison of various indicators: after treatment,the Body weight,BMI,WC and WHR of the two groups were decreased compared with those before treatment,which was indicating that the two treatment methods can improve the obesity indicators.And the comparison of various indicators between the two groups after treatment was significantly(P< 0.05),which was suggesting that catgut embedding is better than western medicine group in weight loss.(2)The Leptin and INS levels of the two groups after treatment were all lower than those before treatment(compared with P < 0.05),which was suggesting that all the two methods had an effect on the level of Leptin and INS in obese patients.The difference between the two groups after treatment was significantly(P < 0.05),which was indicating that the influence of Catgut implantation at acupoint by coordinating the triple energize on Leptin and INS levels in the experiment was more obvious than that of Western medicine which is named Metformin Hydrochloride Enteric-Coated Tablets.In this experiment,we analyzed the correlation among BMI index,Leptin index and Insulin index in obese patients,and found that Leptin and Insulin levels in two groups were positively correlated with BMI after treatment.Then we established regression model for the two groups with BMI difference as the dependent variable,Leptin difference and Insulin difference as the independent variable(P < 0.05).Finally,we found that the two variables in the model in two groups were all significantly(P < 0.05)and it was indicating that the changes of Leptin and Insulin levels will have a certain impact on BMI.(3)BMI rebound rate: There were 3 cases of BMI rebound in Catgut implantation group and 11 cases in Western medicine group.The two groups’ BMI rebound rate was compared by chi-square test,P = 0.015 < 0.05,and the difference was statistically significant,which was indicating that catgut implantation treatment is less prone to BMI rebound than Western Medicine treatment.Conclusion: Catgut implantation at acupoint by coordinating the triple energize and Western medicine(metformin enteric coated tablets)are effective in the treatment of obesity,but Catgut implantation at acupoint by coordinating the triple energize is more effective in losing weight with its advantages in long-term treatment and consolidate the curative effect than western medicine.It was probably that the Catgut implantation at acupoint can regulate Leptin and Insulin levels,and then to achieve the goal of weight loss by improving the mechanism of Leptin resistance and Insulin resistance.
