ObjectiveTo explore whether cognitive function training can reduce the incidence of delirium in ICU patients of cardiac surgery and improve their cognitive function.MethodsThis study adopted quasi-experimental research method.76 cases who were admitted to a cardiovascular ICU of a 3 grade hospital in Shenzhen from January 2020 to September 2020,were randomly divided into the evidence-based nursing group(control group,n=38)and cognitive function training group(experimental group,n=38).The incidence of delirium,Mini-Mental State Exam(MMSE)scores,Barthel Index,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)scores and nursing satisfaction rate were compared between the two groups.Results1.There was no significant difference in baseline data, such as age, gender,BMI,education level, marriage status, method of payment, complications and previous surgery history between the two goups(P>0.05).The baseline data of the two groups were consistent and comparable.2.After 3 days of treatment, the incidence of delirium in the experimental group(18.4%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(42.1%)(P<0.05).3.Before nursing, there was no significant difference in MMSE scores between the control group and the experimental group(P>0.05).After 3 days of treatment,MMSE scores of the experimental group(25.94±5.75)were significantly higher than those of the control group(21.94±4.35)(P<0.05).4.Before nursing, there was no significant difference in Barthel Index between the control group and the experimental group(P>0.05).After 3 days of treatment,Barthel Index of the experimental group(73.43±8.43)were significantly higher than those of the control group(64.12±7.15)(P<0.05).5.Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scores of the experimental group(9.54±0.67)were significantly lower than those of the control group(6.89±0.14)(P<0.05).6.There was no significant difference in nursing satisfaction rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion1.The combining application of evidence-based nursing and cognitive function training can reduce the incidence of delirium in ICU patients2.Evidence-based nursing combined with cognitive function training has significantly better effect on the improvement of cognitive function, sleep quality and normal living conditions in ICU patients.3.Evidence-based nursing combined with cognitive function training can improves the prognosis of ICU patients. It has strong practicability, worthy of clinical popularization and application...
