The Clinical Observation On Treating Knee Osteoarthritis Of Yang Deficiency And Cold Coagulation Type With Acupuncture And Moxibustion Of Warming Yang And Tonifying Kidney

Objective:To observe the short-term and long-term effects of Warming Yang and tonifying kidney acupuncture on knee osteoarthritis of Yang deficiency and cold coagulation type.Methods:Through randomized controlled clinical trials,66 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into observation group and control group,33 cases in each group.The observation group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion of Warming Yang and tonifying kidney method(first acupuncture at Heding,Neixiyan,Waixiyan,Yanglingquan,Yinlingquan,Liangqiu,Xuehai,then warm acupuncture at Heding,Neixiyan,Waixiyan,and finally at Fuliu,Taixi,Juegu,Qihai and Guanyuan),the control group was treated with acupuncture combined with warm acupuncture(first acupuncture at Heding,Neixiyan,Waixiyan,Yanglingquan,Yinlingquan,Liangqiu,Xuehai,then warm acupuncture at Heding,Neixiyan,Waixiyan),three times a week(once every other day,rest on weekends),two weeks as a course of treatment,a total of two courses.The symptom score,VAS score,Lysholm function score,short term effective rate and long-term effective rate,and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed and compared.Results:(1)Short term efficacy: the short-term effective rate of the observation group(96.67%)was higher than that of the control group(93.33%),the difference was not statistically significant(P > 0.05).The improvement of Lysholm function score,VAS score and symptom score in the two groups after treatment were better than those before treatment in the same group(all P<0.05);the comparison between the two groups after treatment showed that the improvement of Lysholm function score,VAS score and symptom score in the observation group were better than those in the control group(all P<0.05).(2)Long term efficacy: the long-term effective rate of the observation group(93.33%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(56.67%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The improvement of Lysholm function score,VAS score and symptom score in the two groups after treatment were better than those before treatment in the same group(all P<0.05);the comparison between the two groups after treatment showed that the improvement of Lysholm function score,VAS score and symptom score in the observation group were better than those in the control group(all P < 0.05).(3)Adverse reactions: there were no adverse reactions in the two groups.Conclusions:The short-term and long-term effect of Warming Yang and tonifying kidney acupuncture in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis of Yang deficiency and cold coagulation type is exact,which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and knee joint function of patients.The method is easy and worthy of further study.
