Objective:Comparative analysis of two gamma-interferon release tests in clinical diagnosis of tuberculosis infection. Methods:a total of 404 with suspected pulmonary tuberculosis were recruited.Among the cases,203 received ELISA test while the other201 were tested with ELISPOT The clinical information was collected for diagnostic classification. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value(PPV)and negative predictive value(NPV)were compared between the two methods. Results:The sensitivity of ELISA in the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis was 77.1 %,the specificity was84.2%,PPV was 72.0%,and NPV was 87.5%.In contrast, the sensitivity of ELISPOT was81.0%,the specificity was 90.1%,PPV was 84.2%,and NPV was 88%.The positive rates of two methods in the cases treated with glucocorticoids decreased significantly compared to those untreated. Conclusions:both ELISA and ELISPOT have high PPV in the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis, when ELISPOT tested positive, the accuracy of diagnosis of tuberculosis was higher than ELISA.。...
